    Abstract: A laptop computer includes a display unit configured to display a graphic user interface (GUI) including an automatic booting mode option for turning on or off an automatic booting mode of the laptop computer; a cover having the display unit on one surface facing into a keyboard when the cover is in a closed state; a sensing unit configured to detect an opening of the cover; a power supply unit configured to supply power to the sensing unit even when the cover is in the closed state; and a controller configured to perform a booting process for operating an operating system (OS) in response to detecting the opening of the cover when the automatic booting mode option is selected to turn on the automatic booting mode of the laptop computer, and cause the display unit to display a screen.

    Abstract: A scroll compressor is disclosed. The scroll compressor includes a first scroll and a second scroll engaged with the first scroll and configured to perform an orbiting movement. The second scroll forms a compression chamber between the first scroll and the second scroll. The scroll compressor includes a frame positioned opposite the first scroll with the second scroll interposed therebetween. The scroll compressor also includes an oldham ring that has an annular ring portion and a key portion protruding from the ring portion. The key portion is slidably coupled to a key groove provided in the frame or in the second scroll to allow the second scroll to perform an orbiting movement with respect to the first scroll. The scroll compressor also include a reinforcing member coupled to the key portion. The reinforcing member is positioned between the key groove and the key portion.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a method for controlling a computing apparatus including a cover having a display on one surface facing into a keyboard when the cover is in a closed state. The method comprises, in response to receiving a command to turn on an automatic booting mode of the computing apparatus, storing a configuration value corresponding to an ON state of the automatic booting mode in a memory; when the cover is in the closed state, detecting an opening of the cover via a sensor of the computing apparatus; and, in response to detecting the opening of the cover when a system status of the computing apparatus is an S5 state defined by the Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) standard, performing, via a controller of the computing apparatus, an operation of entering from the S5 state to an S0 state defined by the APCI standard based on the configuration value stored in the memory.

    Abstract: A scroll compressor is provided in which a boss of an orbiting scroll is inserted into and coupled to a boss coupling recess of a crank shaft, so that friction loss of a bearing portion of the crank shaft may be reduced, compression efficiency and reliability of the compressor may be enhanced, and noise and material costs may be reduced.
