Abstract:
A method and apparatus of reporting logged measurements of an user equipment in a wireless communication system is provided. The user equipment in a Radio Resource Control (RRC) connected mode receives from a base station a Minimization of Drive Tests (MDT) configuration. The user equipment transitions from the RRC connected mode to an RRC idle mode and logs measurements based on the MDT configuration. The user equipment transmits to the base station a logging indicator indicating an availability of the logged measurement.
Abstract:
A method of moving a receiving window in a wireless mobile communication system, wherein the AM RLC of the transmitting side sends information of the last discarded SDU regardless of continuity of the discarded SDUs. The AM RLC of the receiving side checks whether all SDUs from the start point of the receiving window up to the last discarded SDU are successfully received, delivers the SDUs that are successfully received to an upper layer, and discard only those SDUs that are not successfully received.
Abstract:
A method of monitoring a control channel in a wireless communication system includes monitoring a physical down-link control channel (PDCCH) during a monitored duration, wherein the monitored duration is a part of a discontinuous reception (DRX) period, the DRX period specifying the periodic repetition of the monitored duration followed by a non-monitored duration. By monitoring a control channel during a DRX period, battery consumption of a user equipment can be reduced and an operation time of the user equipment can be increased.
Abstract:
Disclosed are methods for prompt re-direction of uplink access of a specific user equipment and controlling random access. Specifically, for initial random access to a network, if a user equipment (UE) transmits a preamble (S201), which includes information related to random access, to a network node, the network node sends grant/rejection information of the preamble and re-direction information as a response message to the preamble (S203) to the UE.
Abstract:
A method of generating a data block for performing a polling procedure in a wireless communication system, a method of transmitting data and a method of performing a polling procedure are disclosed. A protocol layer performs the polling procedure for requesting a receiving side to transmit status report if there are no data to be transmitted to the receiving side in both a transmission buffer and a retransmission buffer. When determining whether there are no data to be transmitted to the receiving side in the retransmission buffer, it is preferable that a data block for which retransmission request information is not received from the receiving side is excluded.
Abstract:
A method of controlling uplink synchronization state at a user equipment in a mobile communication system is disclosed. The method of controlling an uplink synchronization state at a user equipment in a mobile communication system comprises receiving control information associated with controlling uplink synchronization state of the user equipment from a network, releasing uplink resources allocated from the network if the uplink synchronization state is shifted from a synchronization state to an asynchronous state based on the control information.
Abstract:
A timer for processing data blocks is proposed for a receiver of a mobile communications system. If the timer is not running, the timer is started based a data block. The data block has a sequence number higher than a sequence number of another data block that was first expected to be received. If the timer is stopped or expires, the timer is based on a highest sequence number of a data block among data blocks that cannot be delivered to a higher entity. The timer can be used to prevent a stall condition in mobile communications.
Abstract:
A method for receiving system information, the method includes receiving, by a mobile terminal, a first block of second system information from a base station, wherein the first block of second system information includes scheduling information related to a plurality of second blocks of second system information; determining, by the mobile terminal, on which resource the plurality of second blocks of second system information is received using the scheduling information; and receiving, by the mobile terminal, the plurality of second blocks of second system information from the base station on the determined resource.
Abstract:
A method for transmitting an uplink signal by a user equipment (UE). The method includes receiving an uplink grant including a new data indicator (NDI) on a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) from a network, determining whether the PDCCH is not addressed to a temporary cell identifier, determining whether the NDI has been toggled when the PDCCH is not addressed to the temporary cell identifier, and transmitting a new data to the network when the NDI has been toggled.
Abstract:
A method of performing contention resolution associated with a random access procedure includes transmitting, by the mobile communication terminal, a random access preamble; receiving, by the mobile communication terminal, a random access response; transmitting, by the mobile communication terminal, an uplink message and starting a contention resolution timer once the uplink message is transmitted; and receiving, by the mobile communication terminal, a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH), wherein the mobile communication terminal considers whether a contention resolution is successful or not by using either a cell radio network temporary identity (C-RNTI) on the PDCCH or a UE Contention Resolution Identity on a downlink shared channel (DL-SCH) associated with the PDCCH, wherein the mobile communication terminal considers the contention resolution successful and stops the contention resolution timer when the C-RNTI on the PDCCH matches the uplink message, and when the UE Contention Resolution Identity on the DL-SCH matches the uplink message.
