    摘要: A centrifugal separator has a centrifuge rotor and a casing, the casing forming an outer space for the rotor. The rotor is rotatable around a rotary axis and within the casing. The rotor includes a rotor wall, which defines an outer periphery of the rotor and encloses an inner space, an inlet, which extends through the rotor wall and permits feeding of a product to the inner space, and a number of outlets, which extend through the rotor wall and are arranged to permit intermittent discharge of a separated product from the inner space to the outer space. The outlets are distributed around the periphery of the rotor. The number of outlets is uneven, and a valve member extends around the rotor wall to define a space between the wall and the valve member at the level of the outlets.

    摘要: A centrifugal separator has a centrifuge rotor (1), which is rotatable about a vertical axis (x) of rotation and has at least one outlet (3) around the periphery for intermittently discharging a separated product. The separator has a casing (4), which encloses the rotor, and a space (6), delimited by the rotor (1) and an inner surface of a wall forming a part of the casing. The space (6) is arranged to receive the product from the outlet and has an outlet passage (8) for conveying the product from the space. The inner surface has a first surface portion (9′), located at the level of the outlet and extending inwardly from a second surface portion (9″) of the inner surface. The second surface portion is located below the first surface portion and extends around the rotor downwardly and inwardly with respect to the axis (x). The outlet passage (8) is located below the maximum diameter of the second surface portion.

    摘要: A device for cleaning of polluted gas from a combustion engine, includes a centrifugal separator with a centrifuge rotor arranged to cause the polluted gas to rotate. The centrifuge rotor comprises a stack of truncated conical separating discs disposed at mutual spacing so they delimit intermediate spaces between them for the gas to flow through. An outlet chamber is disposed centrally within the stack of separating discs, whereby the centrifuge rotor is configured for counterflow separation. The centrifugal separator comprises a gas outlet which communicates with the outlet chamber. The stack of separating discs is disposed for rotation in a space formed within the combustion engine and arranged to receive the polluted gas, to which end the intermediate spaces between the separating discs communicate directly with the space, and the gas outlet is arranged to conduct the cleaned gas out from the space through a wall which delimits the space.

    摘要: An apparatus for cleaning of crankcase gas coming from an internal combustion engine can be carried by and be releasably coupled to the combustion engine. For this purpose the apparatus comprises an adapter element, which can be connected with the combustion engine, and a housing, which can be releasably coupled to the adapter element and which delimits a separation chamber. The housing supports in the separation chamber a centrifugal rotor that is rotatable about a vertical rotational axis and is arranged for cleaning of the crankcase gas. The centrifugal rotor has a drive shaft extending downwards through a bottom in the separation chamber and into a drive chamber, in which the drive shaft carries a turbine wheel. A nozzle is arranged to spray pressurized lubricating oil against the turbine wheel for rotation thereof and of the centrifugal rotor. The adapter element is intended to abut against the combustion engine by means of an abutment surface, which has a first opening for receiving pressurized lubricating oil from the combustion engine and a second opening for returning to the combustion engine from the drive chamber lubricating oil having been used for driving of the centrifugal rotor. Said first opening communicates through a channel in the adapter element with the nozzle and said second opening communicates through an outlet channel in the adapter element with the drive chamber.

    摘要: The invention relates to a centrifugal separator for cleaning of gas from solid or liquid particles suspended therein which are of greater density than the gas. A main object of the present invention is to accomplish a centrifugal separator which does not have said inactive regions and thereby achieves efficient separation of particulate contaminants from a gas. This object is achieved by the centrifugal separator initially defined, which is characterised in that the interspaces between the separation discs at least at their radially outer parts are substantially open for flow of the gas in the circumferential direction and that mutually adjacent separation discs are arranged at mutual spacing such that rotation of the rotor causes a pumping action in the interspaces, which pumping action drives the gas from the gas inlet, through the interspaces between the separation discs and out via the gas outlet.

    摘要: In a vehicle air is compressed for being used in the brake system of the vehicle, for instance. In the compressor, used for the compression, the air is contaminated with oil and solid particles. In order to be relieved from these particles, before the air is conveyed through a drying filter, the compressed is brought to rotation by means of a rotating member in a centrifugal separator. The rotating member may advantageously include a pile of conical separation discs forming flow passages between each other for the compressed air to be cleaned. By means of an efficient cleaning of the compressed air from particles the life time of the drying filter may be increased.
