Abstract: A multi-system priority scan process including maintaining, at a mobile station (MS), a scan list including channels associated with talkgroups, the talkgroups including one or more trunked radio system talkgroups and one or more conventional radio system talkgroups. The MS negotiates, with a trunked radio system, a working channel for a particular trunked radio system talkgroup out of the trunked radio system talkgroups, the working channel being a traffic channel that the trunked radio system will first attempt to assign a call for that talkgroup. During a subsequent scan for talkgroup for activity associated with the particular trunked radio system talkgroup, the MS switches to the working channel and determines if a carrier is present on the working channel, without switching to a control channel of the trunked radio system to scan for activity associated with the particular trunked radio system talkgroup.

Abstract: In at least one embodiment, a radio access network (RAN) device maintains a proxy mapping table (PMT) of any mobile radios that are currently registered with the RAN via a mobile subscriber unit (MSU). The PMT indicates, for each mobile radio listed in the PMT, the particular MSU via which that particular mobile radio is registered with the RAN. The RAN device receives a first service request for a first mobile radio that is listed in the PMT as being registered with the RAN via a first MSU and, in response to receiving the first service request, makes a determination that an air-interface link is available for communication between the RAN and the first MSU. In response to making the determination, the RAN device communicates the first service request via the available air-interface link to the first MSU for delivery to the first mobile radio.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for detecting a stale number. A stale number detection device obtains a call number, a call number contact creation date, and a call number issue date for the call number. The stale number detection device determines that a stale number state exists when the call number issue date is later than the call number contact creation date. The stale number detection device generates a stale number notification based on the stale number state.

Abstract: A method and system for tracking an object of interest in a talkgroup. The method includes receiving a first image stream including the object from a first portable communication device associated with the talkgroup. The method includes detecting the object in the first image stream, determining a first view angle associated with the object's position in relation to the first device, and determining a second view angle associated with the object's position in relation to a second portable communication device. When a difference between the first angle and the second angle is below a threshold, a first modified image stream is generated by highlighting the object in the first image stream. When the difference between the first angle and the second angle is above the threshold, a second modified image stream is generated by highlighting the object and indicating a relative direction to the object from the second device.

The method further includes broadcasting the subset of data blocks on the broadcast data channel upon detection of the voice call end event.

Abstract: A mobile radio has selectable transmit and receive channels, and is in a talkgroup that has a primary channel and multiple auxiliary channels. The mobile radio receives a broadcast-start command, and responsively selects its transmit channel to be the primary channel (if available) or an inactive auxiliary channel (if the primary channel is not available). The mobile radio receives user media via its user interface, and transmits that received user media on its selected transmit channel. The mobile radio scans for an auxiliary channel transitioning from inactive to active. Responsive to detecting such a transition, the mobile radio selects that auxiliary channel as its receive channel. The mobile radio mixes inbound media received on its selected receive channel with user media received via its user interface, and transmits the mixed media on its selected transmit channel.

Abstract: Processes and systems for displaying information received in a query response. One system includes a communication device including a user interface and an electronic processor. The electronic processor transmits a query, and receives a response to the query including stored information in each of a plurality of fields of information about an object of interest. The electronic processor receives an image of the object from a camera, identifies visually descriptive text information describing the object, and categorizes at least a portion of the visually descriptive text information into the plurality of fields of information. The electronic processor determines a confidence level for each field of information based on a comparison of the stored information and the visually descriptive text information in each field, and displays the stored information in one or more fields for which the confidence level of the comparison is below a predetermined threshold.

Abstract: Systems and methods for identifying objects of interest in video streams associated with an incident. One system includes an electronic processor that receives a search attribute for an object associated with the incident and receives, from a primary video analytics system having a first video coverage capability associated with the incident, a video analytics policy for the first capability. The processor identifies a conflict between the attribute and the policy, and, in response, determines a plurality of secondary video analytics systems, each having a secondary video coverage capability. The processor, for each of the plurality of secondary systems: receives a secondary video analytics policy and determines whether a secondary conflict exists between the attribute and the policy, and, in response to determining that a conflict does not exist, transmits, to the secondary video analytics system, a request to apply the search attribute to a video stream of the secondary capability.
