    摘要: A method for manufacturing a golf club head with a disparate metallic material provided on a hosel side of the head, which can improve degree of freedom in the design of a head. A head body is made up of a columnar material body 13 made from a forgeable metallic material such as copper and a disparate metallic member 12 as an axial member. The disparate metallic member 12 has its proximal end 12A inserted into a bore 14 formed along a center of axis of the material body 13, while its distal end 12B protruded in the axial direction X. The material body 13 is placed on a lower die 22 which is formed with a mold 21 defining a contour of the head body 11, and then an upper die is pressed thereto. Thus, hot forging process is carried out to form a golf club head.

    摘要: There is provided a golf club in which the repulsion area of a face portion is enlarged. The same face in each component of the crown portion, sole portion and the like in the body portion is welded to the face portion having a strike surface by combining metal plates having different rigidity or strength. For example, the face portion on the crown portion or the sole portion is formed of a titan alloy having high rigidity or strength, and other components are formed of pure titan. By disposing such metal plates having different rigidity or strength in one component in this manner, the repulsion area on the face portion can be enlarged, and the traveling distance obtained by hitting a ball can be increased.

    摘要: A recess portion is formed on a front side of a head body, and a gel is placed in the recess portion. A face member is fixed on the head body so as to seal the gel in the recess portion. Thus, the gel can be certainly provided on the rearward of the face, whereby a hitting force (striking force) can be improved, while a sound generated when hitting a golf ball can be reduced. The sealed gel sticks to the recess portion without forming any space in a condition that it is pressed therein. Thus, the sound generated when hitting a golf ball can be made uniform, ensuring the transmission of a force for hitting a golf ball.

    摘要: A discharge lamp lighting circuit adapted to control a transient power corresponding to a cooling condition or a light-out time of a discharge lamp without using a capacitor or storage device having a large capacity, thereby reducing a cost and a size. Power control in a steady state of a discharge lamp is carried out in response to a detection signal for a voltage and a current in the discharge lamp, and a power to be transiently applied to the discharge lamp is controlled before a transition to the power control. The power to be transiently applied is set to be higher than the power in the steady state, thereby promoting light emission of the discharge lamp. An increment in the transient applied power which exceeds the power in the steady state is specified corresponding to a voltage applied to the discharge lamp, a variation in the voltage and a time elapsed from a time that the discharge lamp is lighted up or a start of an operation of a lighting circuit. More specifically, a dedicated circuit for detecting the light-out time of the discharge lamp is eliminated to utilize only detection information required for the power control of the discharge lamp.

An internal state monitoring circuit 26 is provided for monitoring the operation state of the control circuit itself and when an anomaly about the control circuit 7 is detected, the alternative light source is lighted or the driver is notified of occurrence of the anomaly.

    摘要: A discharge lamp lighting circuit 1 has a DC power supply circuit 3 for outputting a DC voltage and a DC-AC conversion circuit 4 for converting the output voltage of the DC power supply circuit 3 into an AC voltage and then supplying the AC voltage to a discharge lamp 6. To light the discharge lamp 6, a predetermined period of time over which the polarity of the voltage supplied from the DC-AC conversion circuit 4 to the discharge lamp 6 is defined as either positive or negative and is provided before the discharge lamp 6 is lighted. The voltage polarity is forcibly inverted to limit the duration of the period so as not to exceed the predetermined time. The circuit reduces costs and prevents short life and degradation of a discharge lamp by placing a time limit on the duration of the period over which the supply voltage polarity is temporarily fixed before the discharge lamp is lighted.

    摘要: A higher performance golf club with a high degree of freedom for the choice of materials used for the head is provided. A shaft 3 is connected to a head made by combining a head body 7, a face member 8 and a weight 10. Then with regards to the head 2, a step 11 is formed in a face corresponding portion 1A of the head body 7, and the face member 8 of a different type to the head body 7 is arranged in the step 11. A ring member 9 is provided so as to span between the head body 7 and the face member 8. The head body 7 and the ring member 9 are secured together to thereby stoppingly engage the front face edge 8A side of the face member 8 by means of the steps 11 and 12, and on the other hand, the rear face 8B is stoppingly engaged by means of the ring member 9. Hence the face member 8 itself can be secured without welding.
