摘要： A fluid filter assembly of a filtration system is described. The filter assembly described includes a cover member and a filter cartridge having at least one filter element and a plate member. The plate member includes a seal surface on one side facing the cover member, and a seal surface on another side facing away from the cover member. The seal surface facing the cover member is configured to seal with the cover member, and the seal surface facing away from the cover member configured to seal with another component of the filtration system. The assembly provides a structure that can retain a seal between sealing surfaces of the cover and the filter cartridge, at least while the fluid filter assembly is being serviced, so as to at least minimize fluid dripping and leakage.

摘要： A diesel engine crankcase ventilation filter is provided by a flat low profile filter housing extending in a horizontal plane and having an upper planar horizontal surface, a lower planar horizontal surface, and side surfaces extending between the upper and lower surfaces. A planar horizontal flat panel filter element extends parallel to the upper and lower surfaces. The housing has an upper plenum between the flat panel filter element and the upper surface, and a lower plenum between the flat panel filter element and the lower surface, an inlet receiving oil and air from the diesel engine and supplying same along an inlet path to the upper plenum to flow downwardly through the flat panel filter element to the lower plenum, a first outlet outputting air along a first outlet path from the lower plenum, and a second outlet outputting oil along a second outlet path from the lower plenum.

摘要： A filter includes a filter element mounted to a base and having first and second end caps spaced axially along an axis. Fluid to be filtered flows laterally through the filter element and axially through a hollow interior and through an axial flow opening of the second end cap. The filter element is mounted to the base solely by the second end cap independently of the first end cap, eliminating the need for a third component traditionally needed for mounting a housing cover to the base and enclosing and/or sealing and/or retaining the filter element in the housing.
