摘要: A diesel engine crankcase ventilation filter is provided by a flat low profile filter housing extending in a horizontal plane and having an upper planar horizontal surface, a lower planar horizontal surface, and side surfaces extending between the upper and lower surfaces. A planar horizontal flat panel filter element extends parallel to the upper and lower surfaces. The housing has an upper plenum between the flat panel filter element and the upper surface, and a lower plenum between the flat panel filter element and the lower surface, an inlet receiving oil and air from the diesel engine and supplying same along an inlet path to the upper plenum to flow downwardly through the flat panel filter element to the lower plenum, a first outlet outputting air along a first outlet path from the lower plenum, and a second outlet outputting oil along a second outlet path from the lower plenum.

摘要: An engine block in combination with an oil drain tube for allowing oil from a turbocharger to drain back into the engine block includes a substantially cylindrical bore in the engine block into which a portion of the oil drain tube is press fit. The oil drain tube includes an insert portion which establishes a sliding fit with the drain-back bore, an interference fit portion, and an O-ring channel which is positioned between the insert portion and the interference fit portion. An O-ring seal is positioned in the channel and is sized so as to be placed in compressive contact against the inside diameter surface of the engine block bore. Although there is an interference fit between the interference fit portion and the bore, the compressive contact by the O-ring seal establishes a leak-free interface between the bore and the oil drain tube. This allows the oil drain tube to be turned or twisted within the bore without breaking or otherwise losing the leak-free interface.

摘要: The outflow of coolers or water transport plates of a fuel cell stack (15) is fed to the inlet of a gas/liquid separator (12), the liquid output of which is connected through a primary pump (11a) to a liquid accumulator (21). A secondary pump (44) connected to the liquid output (20) of the liquid accumulator is fed to the principal inlet (31) of an eductor (32), the secondary inlet being connected to the gas output of the gas/liquid separator. The outlet (37) of the eductor is fed through a conduit (38) to a point below liquid level in the liquid accumulator. Thus, failure of the secondary pump (44) will not cause cavitation of the primary pump (11a) through the eductor so that coolant will continue to flow through the fuel cell stack. A demineralizer (26) is fed through a pressure reducing orifice (25) from the outlet of the secondary pump.
