The first media is stored in the memory for a predetermined period of time, which is greater than a buffering period.

摘要： A method of establishing a reduced setup time session through a gateway includes receiving a first capability message transmitted from the first terminal to the gateway and receiving a second capability message transmitted from the second terminal to the gateway. The method also includes processing the first capability message and the second capability message to form a third capability message and a fourth capability message. The method further includes transmitting a third capability message from the gateway to the first terminal and transmitting a fourth capability message from the gateway to the second terminal. Moreover, the method includes receiving a first request message transmitted from the second terminal to the gateway and transmitting a second request message from the gateway to the first terminal. Transmitting the second request message is performed independent of receiving the first request message. Additionally, the method includes receiving a first response message transmitted from the second terminal to the gateway and transmitting a second response message from the gateway to the first terminal. Transmitting the second response message is performed in response to receiving the first response message.

The method also includes establishing a communication session between the terminal originating the call and the VRBT server through the bidirectional bearer, thereafter, providing a video ringback stream from the VRBT server to the terminal originating the call, and receiving a first message from a terminal terminating the call indicating that the terminal terminating the call has answered. The method further includes providing a second message from the VRBT server to the MSC, wherein the second message is interpreted at the MSC as an indication to begin charging for a session and providing a communication path between the terminal originating the call and the terminal terminating the call.

The first capability is associated with an initial mode of operation for the call. The method also includes receiving a second message transmitted from the second terminal to the first terminal. The second message includes a second capability associated with the initial mode of operation for the call. The method further includes determining that a conflict exists between the first capability and the second capability, resolving the conflict by modifying at least one of the first capability or the second capability, and transmitting information from the first terminal to the second terminal.
