摘要： A portable electronic apparatus comprises a box-shaped housing. A metal-made frame is contained in the housing. The frame supports a circuit board. A circuit element, generating heat while operating, is mounted on the circuit board. A fan is contained in the housing so as to guide cooling air to the circuit element. The frame has a cooling air passage to guide cooling air thereto by the fan. The cooling air passage has a heat receiving part where heat of the circuit element is transmitted, and the heat receiving part is cooled by cooling air flowing to the cooling air passage.

摘要： An expanding apparatus includes a housing with a bearing surface on which a rear portion of a computer is to be placed, and engaging projections arranged on the bearing surface so as to be fitted individually in engagement holes of the computer. As an operating lever provided on the housing is swung up or down, the engaging projections is moved between a first position in which the computer is connected to a first expansion connector of the apparatus and a second position in which the connection is removed. The apparatus is provided with a photointerrupter and an actuating piece which are arranged in the housing, while the operating lever has a push projection which causes the actuating piece to switch the photointerrupter on and off as the lever is swung. When the operating lever is swung from a home position toward a release position with the computer connected to the external expanding apparatus, the photointerrupter detects this and delivers a warning signal to the computer.

The casing has a U-shaped carrying handle which is provided with a pair of projections arranged adjacent to the opening on lateral sides of the casing. Proximal ends of paired arms of the carrying handle are provided with engaging holes. Each of the engaging holes has a circular hole portion made flexible at the inner rim thereof and provided with a diameter a little shorter than the length of the projection when viewed along the long axis of the projection, but longer than the width of the projection when viewed along the short axis of the projection. Each of the engaging holes also has a slot extending continuous from the inner rim of the circular hole portion toward a grip of the carrying handle and having a width larger than the width of the projection, when viewed along the short axis of the projection, so as to allow the projection to be positioned in the circular hole portion with its long axis directed in the longitudinal direction of the arm.

摘要： A presentation device for an overhead projector according to the present invention comprises a panel unit, which includes a liquid crystal panel, and a case for encasing the panel unit. At least one recess is formed in the outer surface of the panel unit which faces downward during use, and a movable leg is rockably mounted in the recess. During the use of the panel unit, the movable leg is caused to project from the recess by the urging force of a torsion coil spring. The case has an opening edge defining an inlet opening through which the panel unit is inserted into the case. The opening edge serves as an operating portion which is adapted to engage the movable leg, thereby rocking the leg against the urging force of the coil spring, so that the leg is housed in the recess, when the panel unit is inserted into the case through the inlet opening.

摘要： An electronic device system comprises a portable computer including an input surface through which information is input, a power switch manually turned on or off, a first connector electrically connected to the power switch, and an expansion station having an expansion device for expanding a function of the computer and an input section connected to a power supply. The expansion station include a main body containing the expansion device and the input section, a stand supported by the main body and removably holding the computer, and a second connector arranged in the stand and connected to the first connector when the computer is held by the stand. The stand includes a pair of engaging members movable between a first position, in which they hook the computer, and a second position, in which they are released from the computer, when the first and second connectors are connected to each other, and a lock movable between a lock position, in which the engaging members are inhibited from being moved from the first position to the second position, and a lock release position, in which the engaging members are allowed to move from the first position to the second position. The lock is maintained in the lock position, when the computer is connected to the power supply through the first and second connectors and the power switch is turned on.

摘要： A function expanding apparatus for a compact electronic device includes a casing having a supporting portion and a supporting plate attached to the casing to be movable in a predetermined direction. A pair of retaining portions are formed on the supporting plate. The rear portion of the electronic device is mounted on the supporting portion and is positioned in its width direction by a pair of positioning members provided at the supporting portion. The front end portion of the electronic device is mounted on the supporting plate and the retaining portions engage the front edge of the electronic device so as to restrain the movement of the electronic device in the depth direction thereof. The position of the retaining portion is adjusted by moving the supporting plate, in accordance with the depth of the mounted electronic device.
