    摘要: An image forming apparatus includes: a rotatable transfer member rotatably driven while carrying a toner image thereon; a rotary transfer member to form a transfer nip for transferring the toner image to a recording medium; a housing rotatable about a first rotation center together with the rotary transfer member and switching between a closed state and an open state by the rotation about the first rotation center; a guide member to guide the recording medium conveyed through a conveyance path toward upstream in the direction of rotation of the rotatable transfer member than the transfer nip; a support frame to support the rotatable transfer member; a biasing member to bias the guide member; and a receiving part, disposed on the support frame, configured to contact the guide member biased by the biasing member and position the guide member in the closed state of the housing.

    摘要: The developer container includes a rotator that is rotated in the container body, a sequence of gears disposed outside the developer container that transmits a torque to the rotator, and a container guiding portion that fits with a main body side guiding portion and guides the developer container in a direction in which the developer container is attached to a mounting portion of an image forming device main body. A first gear included in the sequence of the gears is movable between an operating position where the first gear engages with a second gear and a retracted position where the first gear is retracted. On a surface on which the container guiding portion is disposed, a part of the container guiding portion is disposed within a projected area of the first gear being disposed at the operating position.

    摘要: A specific monocarboxylic acid with even-numbered carbon atoms, sebacic acid, or a salt thereof is used as a corrosion inhibitor. Alternatively, a specific aliphatic monocarboxylic acid, sebacic acid, or a salt thereof is blended with a specific aliphatic oxycarboxylic acid, a specific polycarboxylic acid, or a salt thereof to prepare a corrosion inhibitor. These corrosion inhibitors can be used in a cooling water system using low-hardness water and in water systems wherein a water flow velocity above a given level cannot always be secured, whereby a high corrosion control performance can be exhibited without imposing unfriendly loads on the environment.

    摘要: An image processing system which reads, in pixel units, an image on an original document using a scanner, processes the read image data, and outputs the processed image data. The image processing system includes a system for recognizing a circular image of a specific color. The recognizing system includes a specific color detecting unit for detecting a specific color on an image on an original document; a first image detecting unit for detecting, in the image detected by the specific color detecting unit, images of the specific color at positions spaced from each other by a first distance corresponding to a diameter of a circle on a line extending in a fast scan direction; a second image detecting unit for detecting intersections of the circle having the diameter equal to the first distance and a line separated by a predetermined distance from a center of the circle in a slow scan direction when the specific color images are detected by the first image detecting unit; and a specific color image determining unit for determining that a contour containing the images of the specific color, detected by the three detecting units, is circular on the basis of the detection of a pitch line of a second distance by the second image detecting unit.

    摘要: A developing device includes a developer bearer facing a latent image bearer, to rotate and supply developer to the latent image bearer, and a developer regulator to regulate an amount of the developer on a surface of the developer bearer. The developer regulator is in contact with the surface of the developer bearer. In the developing device, a ratio of a ten-point mean roughness of the developer regulator to a volume average particle diameter of the developer is not greater than 3.5%. The ratio is defined as Rzjis/Dv×100, where Rzjis represents the ten-point mean roughness measured in a nip-adjacent portion of a face of the developer regulator opposing the developer bearer, and Dv represents the volume average particle diameter of the developer. The nip-adjacent portion is adjacent to and downstream a downstream end of a regulation nip in a rotation direction of the developer bearer.
