    摘要: A diagnosing system for an engine diagnoses malfunctions that occur in a direct-injection engine in which fuel is injected into combustion chambers or a lean-burn engine. The present invention provides a diagnosing system for an engine capable of diagnosing malfunctions in an intake air flow intensifying component and a fuel supply component and of specifying a malfunctioning part without being affected by the difference between different engines, the difference in quality between parts and aging. The diagnosing system for an engine comprises: a selecting component for selecting either a first air-fuel mixture control component or a second air-fuel mixture control component according to operating condition of an engine; a combustion condition detecting component for detecting combustion condition of the engine; and decision component for deciding a malfunction on the basis of a first combustion condition detected by the combustion condition detecting component in a state where the first air-fuel mixture control component is selected by the selecting component, and a second combustion condition detected by the combustion condition detecting component in a state where the second air-fuel mixture control component is selected by the selecting component.

    摘要: A diagnosing system of a catalytic converter in an internal combustion engine has a detecting unit to detect an operating state of the engine and an air/fuel ratio control unit to adjust a fuel injection amount so as to keep an air/fuel ratio of a mixture that is inhaled into the engine to a target value. The operating state of the engine is detected, whereby it is confirmed that the engine lies in a predetermined operating region to execute a catalyst diagnosis on the basis of the detected operating state. In each of a plurality of different catalyst diagnosis regions, the performance of the catalytic converter or the performance of the catalytic converter array is diagnosed on the basis of the output signal of the first exhaust gas component sensor arranged on the upstream side of the catalytic converter array and the output signal of the second exhaust gas component sensor arranged on the downstream side.

    摘要: A multi-media information transfer system transfers information between a computer center and a multi-media mail apparatus which is coupled to a communication network. The multi-media information transfer system includes a first part provided in the computer center and the multi-media mail apparatus for specifying a transfer mode based on an attribute of information which is to be transferred, a second part provided in the multi-media mail apparatus for storing information which is received from the computer center and the communication network, and a third part provided in the computer center and the multi-media mail apparatus for transferring the information between the computer center and the multi-media mail apparatus in the transfer mode specified by the first part. The first part specifies the transfer mode from a general transfer mode in which a plurality of pages are transferred together in response to one instruction of a transfer format, a page transfer mode in which the transfer is made one page at a time by instructing the transfer format of each page, and a combined transfer mode in which the general transfer mode and the page transfer modes are combined.

    摘要: An ignition timing control apparatus for an internal combustion engine wherein an ignition timing .theta. of at least one cylinder of the engine is retarded (or advanced) by a little amount .DELTA..alpha. to intentionary check the generation sensitivity of a knock detection signal, that is, the detection sensitivity of knocking, then a knock judging level is modified thereby to judge as to whether knock is produced or not on the basis of the modified knock judging level, in order to correct and control the ignition timing .theta. of the engine. As a result, irrespective of the non-uniformity of properties of the knock detection device and an internal combustion engine due to the deterioration with age or manufacturing errors, correct judgement of knocking can always be insured.

    摘要: An optical transmitter includes an EA modulator, a photocurrent detection circuit, a modulator drive circuit, and a CPU. The EA modulator converts an input signal into an optical signal and outputs the optical signal. The photocurrent detection circuit detects an optical absorption current (a photocurrent) in the EA modulator. The modulator drive circuit controls the EA modulator. The CPU calculates a voltage to be applied to the modulator drive circuit based on the optical absorption current detected by the photocurrent detection circuit.
