摘要: A learning module of an information retrieval system is configured to automatically learn distinctive characteristics used by different web sites when presenting data variables of interest. The learned information can then be used to identify data variables of interest on arbitrary web pages of the web sites. In one embodiment, the learning process is guided by feeds provided by the web sites that list values for data variables of interest, and by web pages also provided by the web sites. The values of the feeds enable the learning module to identify candidate portions of the web pages that may represent a data variable of interest. Weights are computed for different values of various properties of the candidate portions, aggregated over all the analyzed pages, and used to identify one of the candidate portions as being the best candidates.

摘要: Embodiments herein include a method, computer program, etc., that establishes a first database of part replacement and fault occurrence history based on maintenance records and device data for a plurality of very similar or identical devices (fleet of identical (e.g., same model number) devices, such as electrostatic printing devices). The method creates a model based on information within the first database that links sequences of faults to specific replacement parts for the plurality of identical devices. In addition, the method can maintain a second database of repair history for a specific device within the fleet. This allows the method to predict which part or parts (repair parts) are needed for the specific device by applying the model to a sequence of fault codes for the specific device. In addition to the fault codes, the model can also consider the history of the specific device within the second database.

摘要: A method for making an IML (in-mold labeled) product (40), comprising: providing a substrate (31) having a first surface (311) and an opposite second surface (312); forming a patterned layer (32) on the first surface of the substrate by printing; forming a hard coated layer (33) on the second surface of the substrate by a hard coating method, thereby obtaining a film (30); hot pressing the film by a hot press forming method, and trimming the film to remove excess portions; and with the patterned layer exposed, putting the film into a mold having a cavity, and insert molding the film such that a base (34) joined with the patterned layer is formed, wherein the combined base and film constitute the product. The application also provides the above-described film including a patterned layer and a hard coated layer and a method for making the film.

摘要: Systems and methods of controlling banding defects on a receiving member in an imaging or printing process using a feedback and/or feedforward control technique. In one exemplary embodiment, a method of controlling banding defects on a receiving member in an imaging or printing process includes (a) determining a toner density on the receiving member, (b) automatically determining the extent of banding on the receiving member by comparing the determined toner density to a reference toner density value, and (c) automatically adjusting the toner density based on a result obtained from the comparison of the measured toner density to the reference toner density value, automatically determining the extent of banding and automatically adjusting the toner density being performed using a feedback and/or feedforward control routine or application.
