Abstract:
A circuit in which driver units are associated with data networks that are coupled through at least two single transmission channels is provided. The driver units have a logical signal input and a logical signal output on their sides facing away from the data network, with the signal input or signal output of one driver unit being connected with the signal output or signal input of the other driver unit through a signal transmission channel in each case for coupling each of two data networks. A logical coupling control unit is looped into the coupling signal transmission channels. The unit blocks the signal path to the other signal transmission channel when predetermined blocking signal information appears on one signal transmission channel. This ensures that feedback and oscillation effects are suppressed during the transmission of signals over the transmission channels. The circuit can be used for coupling CAN data networks in motor vehicles.

The apparatus has a first arm with a proximal end and a distal end; a second arm with a proximal end, a distal end, one or more discrete sections therebetween for engaging one or more weights, and a means for providing an audible feedback to the user upon completion of an exercise repetition or a half-repetition; and a hinge in contact with the proximal ends of the first and second arms. The hinge is configured to adjust the distance between the distal ends of the first and second arms, or the angle separating the first and second arms.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to bicyclic labdane diterpenes for use in the treatment of a disease associated with activation of transient receptor potential cation channel 6 (TRPC6), preferably a pulmonary or a renal disease. In one aspect the invention relates to the use of a bicyclic labdane diterpene for blocking calcium transport via TRPC6. Another aspect of the invention is a bicyclic labdane diterpene according to formula (1) for use as a medicament wherein R1 is selected from hydrogen and C1 to C4 acyl, wherein the bicyclic labdane diterpene optionally comprises at least one double bond between the carbon atoms at positions 1 and 2, 2 and 3, 5 and 6, 6 and 7 and/or 14 and 15, wherein the carbon atoms at positions 1, 2, 3, 7, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 or 20 are connected to hydrogen atoms or comprise at least one substitution.
Abstract:
An actuating apparatus includes a housing, an actuating unit, a receiver element, and a transmitter element. The actuating unit comprises a first end with a circular arc-shaped contour whose circular arc central axis is configured to act as a first pivot axis. The actuating unit is configured to be moved via an actuator and to undertake a translational main movement and a pivoting movement. The translational main movement is superimposed by the pivoting movement. The receiver element is fixedly arranged in the housing. The transmitter element comprises a magnetic field. The transmitter element is configured to be translationally movable, to be biased so as to bear against the first end of the actuating unit, and to cooperate with the receiver element.
Abstract:
In various embodiments, a pneumatic cylinder assembly is coupled to a mechanism that converts motion of a piston into electricity, and vice versa, during expansion or compression of a gas in the pneumatic cylinder assembly.
Abstract:
In various embodiments, energy-storage systems are based upon an open-air arrangement in which pressurized gas is expanded in small batches from a high pressure of, e.g., several hundred atmospheres to atmospheric pressure. The systems may be sized and operated at a rate that allows for near isothermal expansion and compression of the gas.
Abstract:
A bottom die for a stamping tool for producing cardboard blanks consists of a composite plate made from a support foil and a top layer consisting of phenol-resin bonded paper with a textile insert. Scoring grooves are milled into the top layer of phenol-resin bonded paper to serve as a counter contour of the top die of the stamping tool. The bottom die can be removably disposed on the bottom tool plate of a stamping machine by means of an adhesive layer which is self-adhesive on both sides. According to the invention, the scoring grooves are formed through the top resin bonded paper layer of the bottom die to the level of the flexible support foil, whereby the bottom die is given a relatively large degree of flexibility. Thus, a repeated use of the bottom die sheet is possible. In addition, a method for producing a bottom die for a stamping tool, employing the above-described die, is disclosed.
Abstract:
A furnace chamber contains a chassis to which a closure plate for said chamber is removably fixed. A tilting frame is borne by said chassis in a pair of coaxial tilting bearings, one of which incorporates a rotary lead through for power lines and cooling lines to an induction coil surrounding a crucible on the tilting frame. The chassis includes a pair of rails which are movable horizontally on wheels mounted to the floor of the furnace chamber.
Abstract:

The assembly comprises a drive device and a gear device for generating and transmitting a torque to a brake device, a carrier element having a first mounting device to which the drive device and the gear device are mechanically secured, and a housing having a housing lower portion which has a second mounting device, on which the carrier element together with the drive device and gear device is arranged in a self-supporting manner by means of the first mounting device.
Abstract:
A high-voltage connector component for a high-voltage cable comprises an insulator made of a polymer material which surrounds a cable end portion of the high-voltage cable, wherein the insulator is received in a housing and is made of an elastomer material, wherein the elastomer material is filled, cast or injected into the housing in order to form the insulator. The connector component is designed such that upon connection to a corresponding connector component a basically closed pressure chamber is formed between the housing, the corresponding connector component and the cable end portion, wherein the pressure chamber is basically provided for being completely occupied by the insulator. Loading the insulator with pressure results in a gap-free, high-voltage-sealed pressing of the corresponding connector component to the insulator, a gap-free, high-voltage-sealed pressing of the insulator to the housing, and a gap-free, high-voltage-sealed pressing of the insulator to the sheath surface of the cable end portion.
