摘要: A system for tracking one or more subjects for collecting airborne contaminants. The system includes one or more subjects configured to collect air contaminants. Each of the one or more subjects includes an identification tag encoded with identification information identifying the each subject. The system further includes an identification reader configured to decode the identification information encoded within the identification tag of a scanned one of the one or more identification tags. A computer receives and stores the decoded identification information in a record in a database. The computer may also receive and stored an identification code for a user who scanned the scanned identification tag in the record in the database. Additional records in the database are created each time the identification tag of one of the one or more subjects is scanned. The one or more subjects are thereby tracked as they collect airborne contaminants and are incubated.

摘要: A module pack for relaying communications and data information includes: (a) a portable housing, (b) an audio signal receiver disposed within the housing, the audio signal receiver being capable of receiving electromagnetic audio signals, (c) a video signal receiver disposed within the housing, the video signal receiver being capable of receiving electromagnetic video signals, (d) a radiation dosimeter receiver disposed within the housing, and radiation dosimeter receiver being capable of receiving radiation dosimeter data, and (e) a communications data transmitter for transmitting the audio signals, the video signals and the dosimeter data to a location separate from the housing via a single communications data transmission cable. The invention provides a fully integrated module which allows for critical communications and radiation dosimetry data to be exchanged between several workers working simultaneously within the work area and with health physics technicians and supervisors working away from the work area. The combination of the invention allows for the rapid and efficient set-up, operation and disassembly of various modular communications and radiation dosimetry data receiver/transmitters. Use of the invention has been found to greatly reduce the costs of conducting work within radiation hazardous environments, while greatly improving the ability of the workers to conduct the work in a safe and efficient manner.

摘要: An apparatus include a first electronic component having first interface circuitry configured to generate an electromagnetic signal. The first electronic component is switchable such that in a first mode of operation, the first interface circuitry is configured to transmit the generated electromagnetic signal via a first antenna, and in a second mode of operation, the first interface circuitry is configured to transmit the electromagnetic signal to a second electronic component via a constrained signal path coupling the first electronic component and the second electronic component. The generated electromagnetic signal may be a radio frequency signal or an optical signal.

摘要: A combination secondary master cylinder and brake pedal compliance device for an automotive braking system includes a cylinder having a signal chamber, a working chamber, and a compliance chamber. Elastic devices mounted within the working chamber and compliance chamber allow the apparent compliance of the friction braking system attached to the combination device to remain at a relatively constant value notwithstanding the presence of varying amounts of powertrain braking.

摘要: A system for identifying a subscriber includes an access server coupled to a number of subscribers using a first communication network and further coupled to a second communication network, a memory coupled to the access server, and a processor coupled to the memory. The access server receives a communication from a particular subscriber using a particular one of a number of virtual circuits associated with the first communication network. The memory stores path information that identifies a virtual circuit assigned to the particular subscriber. The processor identifies the particular subscriber for connection to the second communication network based upon the path information and the particular virtual circuit used to receive the communication from the particular subscriber.

摘要: A structural ice mold of the large, single use type, preferably made of FDA approved low density polyethylene plastic, is rotationally molded into a shape forming a hollow cavity on the inside thereof which defines the ice sculpture or figurine to be formed therein. In the improvement of the invention a narrow peripheral ridge or U-shape rib is extended vertically around the outside of the ice mold, preferably at the parting line of the permanent parent mold. The one-piece mold may be opened at the U-shape rib by cutting across the side of the rib at positions away from the surface of the ice figure formed in the mold, rather than by cutting perpendicularly through the mold surface and potentially into the ice figure therein. An additional improvement in ice molds resides in a hollow core formed in the base of the mold which allows for expansion of water in the mold when it changes phase into ice, thereby reducing stress and cracking in the finished ice form.
