    摘要: A connection shell (23) includes a tubular fastener (25) formed by flat surfaces (25a) and curved surfaces (25b) and a rectangular tubular contact (24). A crimp ring (29) is crimped to fasten a wire shield (28) to the outer peripheral surface of the tubular fastener (25). The tubular contact (24) is connected so that a circumferential surface thereof overlaps a circumferential surface of a housing shell (19). The tubular contact (24) has a rectangular shape that conforms with the rectangular tubular shape of the housing shell (19). Thus, only a small clearance is defined between the housing shell (19) and the connection shell (23) to suppress leakage of noise through the clearance between the housing shell (19) and the connection shell (23).

    摘要: A shielded connector assembly has first and second housings (11, 31). The first housing (11) has a fitting space (17) formed with coupling ribs (16). A shielding shell (26) is in the fitting space (17) and has slits (27) that receive the coupling ribs (16). A preventing groove (29) is formed in a peripheral surface of a fitting space (17) and receives a projection (37) of the second housing (31) when the housings (11, 31) are connected properly. The preventing groove (29) is aligned with the slit (27) so that the slit (27) also receives the projection (37). Thus, it is unnecessary to form a separate notch to receive the projection (37).

The resilient lock (48) extends along the plane of the lever (40) and is resiliently deformable along a direction normal to the plane. Thus, a larger area can be secured for an unlocking portion (48B) of the resilient lock (48) without increasing the thickness of the lever (40), thereby providing good unlocking operational efficiency.

    摘要: There are two engaged states of a female connector housing 20 and a joint housing 30: a partly engaged state where the housings 20 and 30 are partly engaged and a fully engaged state where they are fully engaged to connect terminals 32 and 40 thereof. Electrical conduction testing openings 25 are formed in the bottom wall of the female connector housing 20. The testing openings 25 are open when the housings 20 and 30 are partly engaged while being closed by testing opening closing portions 35 provided in the joint housing 30 when they are fully engaged. In the partly engaged state, a probe 50 is inserted through the open testing opening 25 to be electrically brought into contact with the female terminal fitting 40 in a corresponding cavity 21, thereby testing the electrical conduction of the female terminal fitting 40.

    摘要: A connector is provided to prevent gelatinous seal members from being adhered to terminal fittings and improve the insertion operability of the terminal fittings. The connector includes a housing 11 with a rear surface that is held watertight since clearances between a cover 23 and the housing 11 and between the cover 23 and wires 15 are sealed by gelatinous seal members 40. Thus, female terminal fittings 14 are not brought into contact with the gelatinous seal members 40 while being inserted. Therefore, there is no likelihood that the gelatinous seal members 40 are adhered to the female terminal fittings 40 and that the viscosity resistance thereof acts on the female terminal fittings 14.

A step (38, 39) in the cam groove (33) defines an accommodating portion (42) for the jaw (65). The depth of the accommodation portion (42) is larger near the entrance of the cam groove (33) so that the jaw (65) initially is accommodated loosely. However the depth of the accommodating portion (42) is smaller towards the back of the cam groove (33) to prevent loose movements.
