摘要: To prevent the complete discharge of a battery connected to a load, a battery voltage of the battery is compared with a reference voltage, and a switch is activated to open an electrical connection between the battery and the load when the detected battery voltage falls below the reference voltage. To compensate for dynamic characteristics of the battery and the load, a battery current flowing through the battery is detected and a value of the reference voltage is continuously set according to the detected battery current. Similarly, a battery temperature of the battery also controls the reference voltage. Also, a timer may be provided to cause the switch to open the connection between the battery and the load only when the detected battery voltage remains below the reference voltage for a predetermined period of time.

摘要: An electrode body in which current collecting bodies are welded to upper and lower end surfaces of a spiral electrode group formed by interposing a separator between a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate is installed into a battery case. After the current collecting body is welded to the battery case, the cylindrical body is loaded on the diameter of the current collecting body, then the blade portions are welded, then the electrolytic solution is injected, and then a pair of electrodes are arranged on the port-sealing body and the battery case while bringing the bottom surface of the port-sealing body into contact with the peripheral side surface of the cylindrical body. After the contact portion between the port-sealing body and the peripheral side surface of the cylindrical body is welded by supplying the current in the discharge direction while applying pressure between the electrodes, the opening of the battery is sealed by caulking the opening edge of the battery case, and then the port-sealing body is pushed into the battery case by applying the force to the port-sealing body, whereby the storage battery is fabricated.

摘要: A battery having a rust-preventive structure includes a battery cell, the side-wall and an outer peripheral region of the safety valve end of which are covered with heat-shrink tubing. A sealing plate is attached in a moisture-tight fashion to the heat-shrink tubing on the safety valve end via a pressure separating adhesive layer. Adhesive seals the region between a lead-tab connected to the battery terminal and the sealing plate.
