Abstract:
A technique comprising: controlling downlink transmission of an uplink grant for one or more uplink data transmissions by a communication device, wherein said uplink grant identifies one combination from a set of predetermined combinations of one or more transmission time intervals and one or more uplink reference signal transmissions, including at least one combination of two or more transmission time intervals and one or more uplink reference signal transmissions; and using said one or more uplink reference signal transmissions of the identified combination to assist the recovery of data from the one or more uplink radio data transmissions by said communication device in the one or more transmission time intervals of the identified combination.
Abstract:
In accordance with an example embodiment of the present invention, a transmission pattern is determined for a user equipment operating in device to device communication, wherein the transmission pattern is obtained from a dictionary of transmission patterns consisting of patterns of a combinatorial design in an ordered list such that a pattern representing a smallest integer from all patterns of the combinatorial design is provided first followed by all consecutive cyclic shifts of the pattern representing the smallest integer followed subsequently by next patterns representing a smallest integer from all patterns of the combinatorial design not already in the ordered list and their respective consecutive cyclic shifts.
Abstract:
Methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for efficient signaling in a system supporting D2D over the air discovery are provided. One method may include receiving at a user equipment an indication of screening policies and related parameters for beacon signals received from other devices. The method may then include detecting the beacon signals and applying the screening policies and related parameters to determine which of the detected beacon signals should be included in a report. The method may also include leaving out from the report any of the detected beacon signals that do not meet the screening policies' requirements and/or criteria, and transmitting the report from the user equipment to a network node.
Abstract:
Multiplexing of information may be useful in a variety of communication scenarios, such as communication of control information. For example, certain wireless communication systems may benefit from uplink control information multiplexing for downlink two orthogonal frequency division multiplexed symbol short transmission time interval and one millisecond transmission time interval. A method can include receiving, at a user equipment, a downlink assignment scheduling first downlink data transmission in a first transmission time interval duration. The method can also include determining when to provide acknowledgment feedback in an uplink corresponding to the scheduled downlink data transmission. The determination can take into account whether the user equipment is scheduled for downlink data transmission in a second transmission time interval duration. The second transmission time interval duration can be shorter than the first transmission time interval duration.
