The sliding-contact surfaces of respective shoes bulge outward and have a radius of curvature "R" in the range of 800 through 1600 millimeters which is smaller than that of the conventional shoes of a swash plate type compressor, so that relatively large wedge shaped gaps are formed between the respective shoes and the swash plate to thereby stably and constantly hold lubricating oil.

    摘要: A swash plate type compressor is provided with a plurality of cylinders and a front and rear cylinder blocks having a crank case connected to a suction port. The cylinder blocks are connected to a front and rear housing sections in order to cover the cylinders. Each housing section contains a discharge chamber. A drive shaft is rotatable supported by the cylinder blocks. One end of the drive shaft is sealed within the front housing. A swash plate is mounted on the drive shaft and is rotatably disposed within the crank case. A plurality of two-head pistons engage the swash plate via a pair of shoes. The pistons move within their respective cylinders in cooperation with the swash plate. The refrigerant is sucked into each cylinder via a suction passage, and is then compressed therein. The refrigerant is discharged into the external refrigerating circuit through the front and rear discharge chambers, .and the front and rear discharge ports. A discharge passage is provided within the drive shaft, and interconnects the front and rear discharge chambers. A valve is provided at one end of the discharge passage to control the opening of the discharge port in relation to the pressure difference between the front and rear discharge chambers.

    摘要: A valve assembly in a piston type refrigerant compressor is disclosed. The valve assembly includes a retainer formed integrally with a gasket plate for restricting the opening of a discharge reed valve of the compressor, and having on opposite sides at the distal portion thereof stay portions integral with the gasket plate for rigidly holding the retainer. According to the present invention, provision is made to guide some part of the refrigerant gas compressed in a cylinder bore to be discharged into a discharge chamber in such a way that the influence of the discharge gas pressure on the retainer at its distal end is reduced. In some embodiments of the invention, this is accomplished by guiding and allowing part of the gas to flow toward the proximal portion of the retainer to discharge the gas.

When the compressed refrigerant is discharged from the cylinder bore into the discharge chamber through a discharge reed valve, all of the discharged refrigerant is impinged on the peripheral and inner wall so as to separate the lubricating oil from the refrigerant, whereby an effective damping and sealing oil layer is formed between the discharge reed valve and the valve seat thereof.

The gradual stoppage of the suction reed valves suppresses vibration of the valves and prevents noise.
