摘要： A multifunction system has advanced functions and high speed capability and is excellent in expandability. The multifunction system includes a controller, an IIT, an IOT, and a light distributing device. For a print job, print data outputted from the controller is converted into optical signals, which enter a light distributing device and are transmitted to the IOT of the emission side. The IOT prints the received data onto a printer. For a copy job, copy data outputted from IIT is converted into optical signals, which enter the light distributing device, and are transmitted to the IOT of the emission side. For a scan job, scan data outputted from the scanner is converted into optical signals, which enter the light distributing device, and are transmitted to the controller of the emission side. The controller processes the received data.

摘要： A signal communication apparatus includes a transmission component, a reception component and an identification information storage component. The transmission component is connectable to an information processing device and a signal propagation medium, and transmits an inputted image signal through the connected signal propagation medium. The reception component is connectable with an image display device and the signal propagation medium, receives the image signal transmitted from the transmission component through the connected signal propagation medium, and outputs the image signal to the connected image display device. The identification information storage component is removably attached to the transmission component, and stores identification information for identifying the image display device. The information processing device acquires the identification information from the identification information storage component connected to the connected transmission component, and outputs the image signal to the connected transmission component in accordance with at least a portion of the acquired identification information.

摘要： Provided is a method for driving a surface emitting semiconductor laser including an active region that generates light, a resonator structure disposed such that it sandwiches the active region, and a driving electrode that provides power to the active region. The surface emitting semiconductor laser has an internal resistance defined by voltage and current applied to the driving electrode. The method includes applying a modulation signal to the driving electrode, in which the modulation signal has a current amplitude defined by a first current value and a second current value that is greater than the first current value. The modulation signal is in a negative gradient region in which the internal resistance decreases in contrast to the increase of the current.
