Abstract:
[Subject] To provide laser Doppler blood flow measuring method and device which achieve multi-dimensional measurement efficiently at a high degree of accuracy over a wide range with a simple optical system and device.[Solving Means] Laser light from a semiconductor laser 12 is split and formed into sheet lights Ls using a cylindrical lens 22, and the sheet lights Ls are crossed with each other at a predetermined position. A lens system 30 configured to form an image of scattered lights into a linear shape at a linear irradiation site Lx where the sheet lights Ls cross with each other is provided. An optical fiber array 32 having a plurality of optical fibers 34 is provided at an image-forming position of the lens system 30. Avalanche photodiodes 42 configured to convert the scattered lights which are shifted in frequency by the Doppler effect caused by the blood flow into electric signals for the each optical fiber 34 are provided. The blood flow velocity in a tissue of a biological body at the linear irradiation site Lx is calculated from the scattered lights transformed from the laser light by being shifted in frequency by the Doppler effect and is scanned for the each optical fiber 34, whereby the blood flow velocity in the blood vessel in a predetermined area in the biological body is calculated.
Abstract:
A multifunction system has advanced functions and high speed capability and is excellent in expandability. The multifunction system includes a controller, an IIT, an IOT, and a light distributing device. For a print job, print data outputted from the controller is converted into optical signals, which enter a light distributing device and are transmitted to the IOT of the emission side. The IOT prints the received data onto a printer. For a copy job, copy data outputted from IIT is converted into optical signals, which enter the light distributing device, and are transmitted to the IOT of the emission side. For a scan job, scan data outputted from the scanner is converted into optical signals, which enter the light distributing device, and are transmitted to the controller of the emission side. The controller processes the received data.
Abstract:
A wear resistant, heat resistant conveyor chain comprising a series of links, each having a heat resistant roller rotatably fitted onto a bush between inner plates. The links are interconnected in the longitudinal direction of the chain by outer plates, and connecting pins rotatably inserted into the bush. A wear resistant, heat resistant sleeve-shaped spacer protrudes beyond the end surfaces of the heat resistant rollers toward the right and left inner plates to eliminate any sliding contact between the end surface of the heat resistant roller and the inner side surface of the inner plate.
Abstract:
There is provided an optical disk drive capable of appropriately effecting recording and reproducing operations without being affected by offset values and a laser output value, which are set at startup of the disk drive, even when changes have arisen in the internal temperature of the disk drive because of changes in ambient temperature. In an optical disk drive, a temperature sensor provided on a pickup measures a temperature. When changes in temperature are greater than a predetermined level, a focus offset value, a tracking offset value, and a value of laser output from the pickup are reset.
Abstract:
A process for printing or coating a substrate with a liquid-crystalline composition and at least one non-liquid-crystalline print or coating as a multilayer and a substrate produced by this process is described. The liquid-crystalline composition contains at least one compound having two polymerizable groups and at least one compound having only one polymerizable group, and optional further additives. The non-liquid-crystalline print or coating contains one or more IR- or UV-absorbent or fluorescent dye or pigment. The process and the printed substrate are useful in producing counterfeiting-proof marking of articles.
Abstract:
A chamfering portion provided at an inlet corner of a port of an inside way-out in a governor shaft is effective to decrease energy loss of fuel flowing into the inside way-out to less than one half in comparison with that of a conventional art. A flow amount characteristic of the fuel into the inside way-out improves so that a hysteresis between a pump chamber pressure decrease characteristic on increasing a load (a retarding characteristic) and a pump chamber pressure increase characteristic on decreasing the load (an advancing characteristic) is lowered, resulting in securing a highly accurate control of fuel injection timing.
Abstract:
According to the method for manufacturing electrode sheets, in a first cutting step, an original sheet, including a belt-shaped metal foil and an electrode material coated thereon in a lengthwise direction to form a plurality of coated portions spaced at a predetermined gap, is cut at a location between the coated portions. In a pressing step, the original sheet strips having been cut in the first cutting step are pressed. In this case, the original sheet strips that are pressed by the rolling device are independent from each other. Therefore, the effect produced in rolling of the coated portions remains within each of the original sheet strips. In addition, distortions occurring in the original sheet strips can be prevented from affecting each other and the occurrence of wrinkles can be inhibited.
Abstract:
Video from a backup camera (10) is displayed early on an LCD panel (16). During startup of a system, a display controller (14) performs settings according to preset data from a memory (20), a video signal directly supplied from the backup camera (10) is selected by a selector (54), subjected to resolution conversion and supplied to an LCD panel (16). On the other hand, after the system controller (12) has been started up, a video signal supplied from the system controller (12) is selected by the selector (54) and supplied to the LCD panel (16).
Abstract:
The present invention provides: a protein having a fructosyl amino acid oxidase activity which protein is useful for measurement of a glycosylated protein (particularly, glycosylated hemoglobin); a modified protein thereof; and use of the protein or the modified protein. The protein of the present invention is, for example, a fructosyl valyl histidine oxidase derived from Phaeosphaeria nodorum, the fructosyl valyl histidine oxidase having excellent thermal stability and substrate specificity and also having a small Km value to fructosyl valyl histidine. This allows a glycosylated protein measuring reagent to be stored in a long time and measurement accuracy of the glycosylated protein measuring reagent to be improved.
