Abstract: In a case where an A-BFT period is not present in a BI, a PCP/AP uses a format that includes an Unsolicited RSS Enabled sub-field for indicating support for responding to unsolicited RSSs within a CBAP, for a Beacon Interval Control field of a DMG beacon frame used for executing a BTI-ISS. For example, in a case where it is indicated that responding to unsolicited RSSs within a CBAP is supported, the PCP/AP sets the value of the Unsolicited RSS Enabled sub-field to 1. In a case where the value of the Unsolicited RSS Enabled sub-field included in a received DMG beacon frame is 1, a STA responds with an unsolicited CBAP-RSS.

Abstract: In a transmission device, a signal processing circuit generates an aggregate physical layer convergence protocol data unit (A-PPDU) by adding a guard interval to each of a first part of a first physical layer convergence protocol data unit (PPDU) transmitted over each of a first through L′th channel of a predetermined channel bandwidth, where L is an integer of 2 or greater, a second part of the first PPDU transmitted over each of an (L+1)′th through P′th channel, which is a variable channel bandwidth that is N times the predetermined channel bandwidth, where N is an integer of 2 or greater and P is an integer of L+1 or greater, and a second PPDU transmitted over the (L+1)′th through P′th channel. A wireless circuit transmits the A-PPDU.

Abstract: A reception apparatus includes reception circuitry and decoding circuitry. The reception receives a signal including a legacy header field, an enhanced directional multi-gigabit (EDMG) header field, and a data field. The decoding circuitry decodes data included in the data field of the received signal. The legacy header field includes a Length field comprising multiple bits. The reception apparatus is an EDMG terminal, and a subset of the multiple bits of the Length field included in the legacy header field is used to indicate bandwidth over which the signal is transmitted. Remaining bits of the Length field included in the legacy header field are used to indicate data length of the received signal.

In a case where, in the PHY frame including the short Sector Sweep frame, a Direction field of the short Sector Sweep frame indicates Initiator Sector Sweep, the PHY frame generating circuit replaces a Short Sector Sweep Feedback field indicating a number of a selected best short Sector Sweep with a Short Scrambled Basic Service Set ID field indicating an abbreviated address generated from an address of a destination communication apparatus.
