Abstract: A battery includes: a power generation element including at least one battery cell each having a laminated structure of a positive electrode layer, a negative electrode layer, and a solid electrolyte layer located between the positive electrode layer and the negative electrode layer, in which the at least one battery cell is each provided with a through hole penetrating in a direction of lamination, a sectional area of the through hole in the positive electrode layer in a direction perpendicular to the direction of lamination is larger than a sectional area of the through hole in the negative electrode layer in the direction perpendicular to the direction of lamination, and an inner wall of the through hole is inclined with respect to the direction of lamination.
