Abstract: The disclosure relates to an organic electroluminescence element including an organic layer including multiple light-emitting layers. The light-emitting layers include a blue light-emitting layer including a blue light-emitting dopant. In a case where emission color of the organic electroluminescence element operated at an operation temperature for a stable state is represented in a CIE1931 chromaticity coordinate system, when coordinate point A of the emission color at an early stage of use and coordinate point B of the emission color deteriorated by use are represented by (x1, y1) and (x2, y2) respectively, a relation of y2≧y1 is satisfied. When amounts of changes in x and y values from coordinate point A to coordinate point B are represented by equations of Δx=x2−X1 and Δy=y2−y1 respectively, a relation of Δy≧Δx is satisfied. Abstract: The objective is to provide an organic electroluminescent element with an improved luminous efficiency. The organic electroluminescent element has a structure in which a first light-emitting unit containing a phosphorescent red light-emitting material, a second light-emitting unit containing a phosphorescent yellow light-emitting material, and a third light-emitting unit containing a fluorescent blue light-emitting material are stacked with interlayers in-between. A peak emission wavelength of the phosphorescent yellow light-emitting material is in a range of 530 nm to 570 nm. A peak emission wavelength of the fluorescent blue light-emitting material is in a range of 440 nm to 480 nm. The organic electroluminescent element has a ratio of a yellow emission intensity to a blue emission intensity in a range of 1.0 to 2.0. The organic electroluminescent element further has a ratio of a red emission intensity to the blue emission intensity in a range of 1.5 to 3.0.

Abstract: The organic electroluminescence element includes: a moisture-proof substrate; a light emitting stack including a first electrode, a light emitting layer, and a second electrode; and an enclosing member bonded to the substrate to enclose the stack. The element further includes a light-outcoupling structure provided on a side of the substrate facing the first electrode and having an uneven structure made of material having a refractive index almost equal to or lower than a refractive index of the substrate. The uneven structure includes a plane divided into a matrix of sections, and multiple protruded parts having almost same heights individually allocated to desired sections of the matrix. With regard to an arbitrary region of the plane, a ratio of a total area of one or some of the multiple protruded parts in the arbitrary region to an area of the arbitrary region is almost constant.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an organic electroluminescence element in which a transparent first electrode, an organic light emitting layer, a second electrode are stacked on a translucent substrate in this order. The translucent substrate includes a moisture-proof layer facing the first electrode. An LR layer and an HR layer having a refractive index higher than a refractive index of the LR layer are situated between the moisture-proof layer and the first electrode in this order from the moisture-proof layer. An uneven structure is provided at an interface between the LR layer and the HR layer. A linear expansivity α of the moisture-proof layer, and a linear expansivity β of the LR layer, and a linear expansivity γ of the HR layer satisfy a relation of α≦β≦γ.

Abstract: A light emitter includes a light emitting layer and a reflection layer. The reflection layer includes a first dielectric film and a dielectric multi-layer film. The dielectric multi-layer film includes at least one layer of laminated film, in which each layer of laminated film includes a pair of a second dielectric film and a third dielectric film. The first dielectric film has a refractive index lower than a refractive index of the light emitting layer and the second dielectric film. The third dielectric film has a refractive index lower than the refractive index of the second dielectric film. A relationship of d1≥λave/n1 is satisfied, where λave denotes an average wavelength of a spectrum of visible light emitted via the light emitting layer, n1 denotes the refractive index of the first dielectric film, and d1 denotes a film thickness of the first dielectric film.

Abstract: An illuminator includes a light-emitting element and a light extraction sheet which transmits light occurring from the light-emitting element. The light-emitting element includes a first electrode having a light transmitting property, a second electrode, and an emission layer between the first and second electrodes. The light extraction sheet includes a light-transmitting substrate having a first face and a second face, a first light extraction structure on the first face side of the light-transmitting substrate, and a second light extraction structure on the second face side of the light-transmitting substrate. The first light extraction structure includes a low-refractive index layer and a high-refractive index layer having a higher refractive index than the low-refractive index layer. The second light extraction structure is arranged so that light which is transmitted through the light-transmitting substrate and arrives at an incident angle of 60 to 80 degrees has an average transmittance of 20% or more.
