    Abstract: An acceleration sensor includes a weight portion having a recess section and a solid section, beam portions, a movable electrode provided on the opposite surface of the weight portion from an open surface of the recess section to extend over the recess section and the solid section, a first fixed electrode arranged at the opposite side of the movable electrode from the recess section, and a second fixed electrode arranged at the opposite side of the movable electrode from the solid section. The acceleration sensor detects acceleration using a change in capacitance between the movable electrode and the fixed electrodes caused by rotation of the weight portion. The beam portions are shifted toward the recess section such that an angle between a perpendicular line extending from a gravity center position of the weight portion to the rotation axis and a surface of the movable electrode becomes equal to 45 degrees.

    Abstract: An external locking device is mounted on a holder. An operation member of the holder is moved between a first position where the operation member is substantially flush with an exterior of the holder and a second position where the operation member protrudes from the exterior. A first electronic device is detached from the holder when the operation member moved to the second position. The external locking device includes a locking member, a shaft member that rotates to a locking position during locking of the locking member and rotates to an unlocking position during unlocking of the locking member, and a moving member. When the shaft member is located at the locking position, the moving member moves to a space where the operation member is to be located at the second position. When the shaft member is located at the unlocking position, the moving member retreats from the space.

    Abstract: A capacitive physical quality detection device includes a sensor part, a control circuit, and a CV conversion circuit. The sensor part includes a movable electrode, a first fixed electrode, and a second fixed electrode. The CV conversion circuit is configured to receive a reference voltage and to output a voltage corresponding to a capacitance change. In a first time period, the control circuit applies a first signal to the first fixed electrode, and applies a second signal, which is opposite in phase to the first signal, to the second fixed electrode. In a second time period, the control circuit applies the reference voltage to the first fixed electrode and applies the second signal to the second fixed electrode.

    Abstract: An electronic device includes a first unit having an input part and a second unit having a display. The first unit and the second unit are detachably coupled.
