摘要: A near field RF communicator has an antenna circuit (120) to receive a modulated radio frequency signal by inductive coupling and demodulation circuitry (130 or 131) to extract the modulation from a received modulated radio frequency signal inductively coupled to the antenna circuit. The demodulation circuitry has a virtual earth input comprising a current mirror. The demodulation circuitry may be formed by an amplifier (115 or 116) and a demodulator (114) coupled to an output of the amplifier. The amplifier may be a single input amplifier (116) coupled to an output of the antenna circuit or may be a differential amplifier (115) having first and second inputs to receive the modulated radio frequency signal from first and second outputs of the antenna circuit, with each amplifier input providing a virtual earth input.

摘要: A server-side adaptive streaming capability is provided. The server-side adaptive streaming capability supports adaptive streaming of a data object from a server toward a client via a Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) connection between the server and the client. The server has access to a plurality of versions of the data object having a respective plurality of encoding bit rates associated therewith. The server has a TCP congestion control mechanism running for the TCP connection. The TCP congestion control mechanism has information associated therewith. The server determines, using the information associated with the TCP congestion control mechanism running on the server for the TCP connection, a transmission bit rate expected to be supported by the client for the TCP connection. The server selects, based on the transmission bit rate expected to be supported by the client and the encoding bit rates associated with the versions of the data object accessible to the server, one of the plurality of versions of the data object for propagation from the server toward the client via the TCP connection. The server dynamically switches between the versions of the data object as the transmission bit rate expected to be supported by the client changes.

摘要: A resilient data transfer capability is provided. The resilient data transfer capability is provided in a system including active and backup servers configured for supporting a TCP connection to a client. The resilient data transfer capability provides for continuation of the TCP connection with the client, using the backup server, upon failure of the active server, thereby enabling continuation of a TCP data transfer to the client via the TCP connection when the active server from which the client is downloading the data fails during the middle of the TCP data transfer. In this manner, the resilient data transfer capability enables the backup server to assume responsibility for the TCP connection from the active server without causing any associated problems (e.g., without resetting the TCP connection or causing any client side errors).

摘要: A system for providing an automated axial force to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) in a wheelchair. An electronic transmission control receives one or more input signals generated by throttle position or other variables. The microprocessor generates an output signal that adjusts the axial force applied to a CVT thereby automatically adjusting the input to output ratio. The invention also provides a manually-controlled variator is designed for use on a wheelchair. The manual shifter hydraulically adjusts an axial force imparted on a variator in communication with a wheelchair wheel and a hand rim. Application of the axial force causes the hand rim input and wheelchair wheel output ratio to change, permitting a wheelchair operator to manually adjust the input to output ratio to more easily operate the wheelchair.

摘要: An air filter has an inner filtering body within an outer filtering body. The air filter is configured to fit inside a scoop and adjacent to the inlet opening of the scoop. By placing the air filter adjacent to the inlet opening of the scoop, the size of the air filter may be increased as compared to a traditional air filter which fits within the neck area of the scoop. As such, the surface area of the air filter may be increased to provide more air to an air intake system such as a carburetor, fuel injectors, throttle body, or the like, as compared the traditional air filter. The inner filtering body may be recessed inside or protrude from the outer filtering body. The inner filtering body may be coupled to the outer filtering body along the base of the air filter. The inner filtering body increases the surface area of the air filter so that more air may be provided to the air intake system of a vehicle.

摘要: The present invention is directed towards a kit for improving the repair of a transmission. The kit contains the components in a fashion that is well organized. Further, while some individual components are stored in the kit, others are preassembled into subassemblies. For example, a subassembly can be preassembled to factory level tolerances. Thus, during the repair, the defective subassembly can be removed and the preassembled replacement can be installed. This saves a great amount of time for the repair. It also makes the refurbished transmission less likely to fail. If the kit contains all of the transmission parts, then it is likely that all or only a portion of the parts will be used during the repair. In the event that all parts are not used, the repair man can place the unused parts back into the kit, along with the used parts, and the kit can be returned for a partial refund or a credit.
