    摘要: A continuously variable conical pulley transmission having pairs of conical pulleys which are rotationally fixedly arranged on drive input and drive output shafts and of which in each case one is fixed to the shaft and one is axially movable, and between which a traction mechanism belt for power transmission circulates. In order that it is not necessary to provide otherwise unutilized regions of the conical pulley surfaces to allow for corresponding wear, it is proposed that a stop for limiting the transmission ratio, which stop acts substantially in the radial direction on the traction mechanism belt, be provided in at least one conical pulley pair. It is intended in particular that the peripheral surface of the drive input shaft serves as a stop. It is also proposed that a chain as a traction mechanism belt be correspondingly matched to a device of said type by virtue of the contour of the links of said chain being matched to the contour of the drive input shaft.

    摘要: Normal and abnormal diurnal cortisol secretion patterns are identified from human saliva samples by an in vitro method. First and second saliva samples are taken from one human individual at first and second predetermined times during the same day. A first cortisol concentration is determined in the first saliva sample, and a second cortisol concentration is determined in the second saliva sample. An abnormal secretion pattern is then compared to a normal secretion pattern with the help of a fuzzy logic algorithm. A function of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis is then determined for the human individual. Optionally, a testosterone level is determined from one of the samples and is used in combination with the cortisol concentrations to provide a redefined determination.

    摘要: A sterilization container has a valve arrangement that remains open in a venting phase and is then closed before a pressure difference is compensated for at a predetermined differential pressure. The valve remains closed until the container is opened for the purpose of withdrawing and using the sterilized instruments contained therein. The valve is actuated through a snap disk arrangement, the snap disks of which vault gradually into opposite directions at predetermined temperatures, thereby effecting a defined valve control. The snap disk arrangement is provided in a thermally isolated housing, which prevents a premature back-switching of certain snap disks that could be caused by a cooling-off as a result of the evaporation of condensate.
