Abstract: The invention relates to a scanner's optical device, receive the light coming from the image of an object to be scanned, comprising: several reflective mirrors, a light-focusing module, and a charge coupled device. The reflective mirrors provide reflection and directional change for the light and, by appropriately arranging several reflective mirrors, the light of the object to be scanned directionally changed to a predetermined route. With at least one curving mirror, the light-focusing module focus the light of the predetermined route and then directionally change it, and a raster is then provided in the light route of the curving mirror for filtering out unnecessary light. The charge coupled device may receive the light coming from the light-focusing module and convert it into electronic signals. The said light-focusing module replaces the prior lens set for executing a scanning job.

Abstract: The present invention is an improved transparency scanning module, which is applied on a cover of scanning device. The transparency scanning module and the cover can be taken apart for different consuming groups. The features of the invention are that transparency scanning module is embedded in cover, and a slot of cover for holding transparency scanning module is set plural fillisters, and there are plural connectors set on the relative positions of transparency scanning module for connecting each other. When the fillisters connecting with the connectors, transparency scanning module is able to offer light and also transparency scanning module and cover are combined and fixed each other closely; on the other hand, rim of transparency scanning module is thinner, and most central part is protruding in z direction, thus transparency scanning module can be inserted and held in the slot of cover. This is another design for closely combination.

Abstract: An optical image scanning device includes a casing having a document supporting plate and a top cover. The top cover has an underside surface coated with a fluorescent material thereon. An optic module includes a light source for projecting an exciting light onto the fluorescent layer whereby the fluorescent material is excited by the exciting light to emit a scanning light. The scanning light transmits through a light-transmittable document and projects an image of the document onto reflective mirrors for guiding the scanning light through a focusing lens. The focusing lens focuses the light onto a image sensing device. A reflective type light source is selectively arranged in the optic module for selectively projecting a light onto a document formed on a non-transmissive medium that is positioned on the document supporting plate.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a depth of field adjustment device and method for an automatic document feeder. The automatic document feeder has a guiding groove for placing an object to be scanned. The guiding groove has a scanning window for providing image picking-up for an optical chassis. An adjustable suppressing mechanism located at the guiding groove in corresponding to the scanning window may drive the object to be scanned to pass through an optimal depth of field height of the scanning window. First, at least a part of the pre-scanned object is fed in to be located between the adjustable suppressing mechanism and the scanning window. The depth of field height is then adjusted and changed by the adjustable suppressing mechanism. And, the image of the pre-scanned object is compared with a pre-stored image. After the pre-scanned objected has been judged to be located at the optimal depth of field height, the adjustable suppressing mechanism is fixed and the pre-scanned object is sent out. Then, it may achieve a most clear image picking-up for scanning the object to be scanned.

Abstract: The invention is to provide a light-focusing for image-gathering device that receive the light coming from the image of an object being scanned. The light-focusing for image-gathering device is comprised of: at least one reflection mirror, an imaging device and at least one raster (optical grate). The reflection mirror has plural concave surfaces that are arranged appropriately, and the concave surface provides the light being focused and reflected to a predetermined route. The imaging device receives the light reflected from at least one reflection mirror and converts it into electronic signal. The raster has plural pervious holes, of which positions are just respectively corresponded to each concave surface. The raster is located in the light-path route between the imaging device and at least one reflection mirror. When an image data of an object being scanned that can be divided into receivable image-and-light signal of the object being scanned and un-receivable image-and-light signal of the object being scanned is gathered executively, the un-receivable image-and-light signals of the object being scanned are first removed, then the adjacent receivable image-and-light signal of the object being be scanned is connected together to obtain a complete image output data.
