Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for the management of different operation modes in wireless systems. For example, wireless device(s) may operate in a high pathloss operation mode or a normal pathloss operation mode based on the pathloss experienced between the transmitting and receiving devices. In some cases, a first wireless device may transmit a message to a second wireless device to configure a bandwidth part (BWP) for high pathloss mode communications. The message may be transmitted via control signaling and after receipt of the message, the second wireless device may enter a high pathloss mode for communications with the first wireless device (e.g., after a given time duration). Some parameters may be configurable (e.g., transmission duration, coding scheme) between high pathloss mode and normal pathloss mode, while other parameters may remain the same (e.g., processing time, switching time).

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for using ranging signals to determine a position of a pedestrian user equipment (P-UE). In an aspect, a UE receives a plurality of ranging signals transmitted by one or more UEs, measures one or more properties of each of the plurality of ranging signals, and calculates an estimate of the position of the P-UE based on the one or more properties of each of the plurality of ranging signals. In an aspect, the P-UE transmits a plurality of ranging signals, receives a first message and a second message from first and second vehicle UEs (V-UEs), the first and second messages including first and second estimated positions of the P-UE and associated first and second confidences, and calculates an estimate of the position of the P-UE based on the first estimated position, the first confidence, the second estimated position, the second confidence, or a combination thereof.

Abstract: Systems and methods for predictive coordination of ego radar and interferer radar parameters are disclosed. In some aspects, a processor associated with a first radar system transmitting a first radar waveform to detect a target may identify a presence of a second radar system transmitting a second radar waveform in a vicinity of the first radar system. The processor may further predict an upcoming interference by the second radar waveform of the detection of the target by the first radar system. In addition, the processor may, in response to the predicting the upcoming interference, determine an adjustment to a first parameter of the first radar waveform and/or to a second parameter of the second radar waveform.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive from a network entity first control signaling identifying, of multiple cell groups configured at the UE, an inter-cell mobility configuration for a set of one or more cell groups for use at the UE. In some examples, each cell group of the multiple cell groups may include a primary cell (PCell) and zero or more secondary cells (SCells). The UE may transmit a measurement report for each cell group of the set of one or more cell groups for inter-cell mobility. The UE may receive, at least in part in response to transmitting the measurement report, second control signaling activating or deactivating a primary cell group for inter-cell mobility from one or more cell groups of the set of one or more cell groups.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for determining sidelink channel metrics using reference signal measurements of reference signals transmitted by other UEs. A first UE may receive a control message from a base station, and the control message may indicate a measurement threshold. The first UE may generate a reference signal measurement of a reference signal transmitted by a second UE via a sidelink channel between the first UE and the second UE. The UE may transmit a measurement report to the base station based at least in part on the measurement satisfying the threshold. The report may be a quantized value of the measurement or a bit indicating that the measurement satisfies the threshold. Based on receipt of the measurement report, the base station may determine to transmit data to the second UE via a transmission to the first UE.

The method may include a user equipment (UE) receiving, from a network node, a message that indicates for the UE to generate a periodic channel state information (CSI) report including refinement information with respect to a previously CSI report. The UE may receive one or more demodulation reference signals (DMRSs) during one or more semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) occasions and generate the CSI report, where the refinement information included in the CSI report is based on measurements of the received one or more DMRSs. The UE may then transmit the CSI report to the network node.

The example method also includes tracking a variation in a channel condition relative to the model condition of the channel based on the model configuration for each of multiple beam pairs separately in multiple tracking sessions that overlap in time.
