    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment may determine, when using resource spread multiple access with non-orthogonal multiple access, that a particular modulation scheme is enabled. The user equipment may process symbols using a set of processing sequences selected based at least in part on the particular modulation scheme such that the particular modulation scheme is preserved for the symbols. The user equipment may transmit the symbols based at least in part on processing the symbols using the set of processing sequences. Numerous other aspects are provided.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment may determine information that identifies a resource for transmitting an acknowledgment of a message associated with a random access procedure. The information that identifies the resource may be determined based at least in part on at least one of: a frequency band associated with the random access procedure, a resource associated with at least one message in a sequence of messages associated with the random access procedure, a payload of at least one message in the sequence of messages associated with the random access procedure, or a grant associated with another message in the sequence of messages associated with the random access procedure. In some aspects, the user equipment may transmit the acknowledgment based at least in part on the information that identifies the resource. Numerous other aspects are provided.

    Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide systems, methods, and apparatuses for implementing the multiplexing of different orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) waveforms using a transmitter and receiver configured to process different types of signals without a need for distinct hardware structures. In one example, aspects of the present disclosure may include a transmitter configured to transmit both a first type of discrete fourier transform (DFT)-spread OFDM waveform and a second type of DFT-spread OFDM waveform that may be multiplexed over the wireless channel. In some aspects, the transmitter may modify the numerology of the zero-tail DFT-spread OFDM waveform to match the numerology of other OFDM waveforms (e.g., OFDM waveform with zero-guard or a single carrier DFT-spread OFDM with zero-guard).

For example, an example of a process may include receiving, at a network device (e.g., a user equipment (UE)) from a network entity via a number of sensing streams based on a maximum of Nt−J sensing streams, a waveform including communications resources and sensing resources. The waveform has a rank Nt and J is a number of layers scheduled for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communications that is less than Nt.     Abstract: Sounding reference signals (SRS) transmitted by a UE, e.g., for positioning or channel estimation, may be configured for one or both of frequency tone level cyclic shift and symbol level code, which, for example, enables multiplexing a greater number of UEs. The frequency tone level cyclic shift is produced by jointly processing a number of symbols with an extended cyclic shift structure. The SRS may be configured using a symbol group level that indicates the number of symbols associated with a cyclic shift structure, and an outer code that indicates a multiplier applied to the SRS at the symbol level, which increases the multiplexing opportunities. The symbol level code may further indicate an extended cyclic shift indicating a linear increase in phase rotation across tones in symbols associated with the symbol group level.
