    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-readable media, for tracking network traffic for local area network (LAN) subnets in a wireless wide area network (WWAN). In some implementations, a UE of the WWAN may assign a unique public IP address to each router of the LAN. The UE may transmit network traffic received from the LAN to the WWAN. The network traffic originating from any router of the LAN may be associated with the unique public IP address that was assigned to that router. The WWAN may use the unique public IP addresses to generate network traffic information that may indicate amounts of network traffic flowing from each router of the LAN. The WWAN, for example, may use the network traffic information to determine billing information for any router in the LAN.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-readable media, for a user equipment (UE) to select a data connection based on which applications are active in a foreground process of an application processor. The UE may activate a dedicated data subscription (DDS) based on a list of active applications. In some aspects, the UE may programmatically initiate a DDS switch based on which applications are active. The UE may determine which data connection to activate as the DDS based on the application configuration information and which applications are active. Application configuration information may indicate preferences regarding different data connections to use for each application. The application configuration information may indicate a preferred radio access technology (RAT), a preferred communication network, a preferred subscription, or any combination thereof.

    Abstract: In order to improve efficiency in releasing a connection with a user equipment, a method, apparatus, and computer-readable medium are presented herein. A RAN receives release assistance information from a user equipment or a User Plane Function (UPF) involved in an active session with the user equipment. The release assistance information may be received over a control plane or over a user plane. The release assistance information may be received from the user equipment or the UPF over the user plane or as Radio Resource Control (RRC) signaling. The release assistance information may be received from an application function via the UPF. The RAN determines to release the user equipment based on the release assistance information.

    Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques that allow the user equipment (UE) that initiated single radio voice call continuity (SRVCC) handover during an active voice session from 5G new radio (NR) to 3G legacy system to effectively transition back from 3G legacy systems to 5G NR systems after conclusion of the active voice session. In one example, the UE may override radio resource control (RRC) connection release with evolved universal terrestrial radio access network (E-UTRAN) frequency information that may direct the UE to camp in E-UTRAN cell (LTE cell). In another example, the UE, as a local policy or configuration, may override the UTRAN cell information when the UE is registered in next generation radio access network (NR) cell as 5G capable UE.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A UE may establish a wireless communication link with a base station in accordance with a radio access technology (RAT), and an internet connection with the base station. The UE may identify a lack of support by a network that includes the base station for a type of voice calls associated with the RAT. The UE may transmit a discovery query for a gateway to a core network, and the UE may establish a connection with the gateway via the internet connection. The UE may initiate a voice call via a call path from the UE to the core network, where the call path may include the wireless communications link with the base station in accordance with the RAT and also may include the internet connection with the gateway.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. An access and mobility management function (AMF) associated with a first radio access network (RAN) may identify a user equipment (UE) connected to a source base station of the first RAN. The AMF may receive a handover message including a voice call continuity handover trigger message indicating a handover of the UE to a target base station associated with a second RAN. In some examples, the AMF may transmit a bypass handover message to a second network device based a on the received handover message. In some cases, the bypass handover message may include the voice call continuity handover trigger message. In some examples, the second network device is a mobility management entity (MME) associated with an Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network (E-UTRAN).

    Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for routing internet protocol (IP) and non-IP packets in cellular vehicle-to-everything devices that can be transmitted over the air via cellular or side-link device-to-device (D2D) communication systems without the need for the applications (e.g., automotive applications) to modify its operations. Specifically, an application (automotive application or web browser) may use default Application Programming Interface (API) that is typically used for regular cellular communication without modifying its operations to differentiate between IP and non-IP packets. Instead, in accordance with present disclosure, logical data paths may be dynamically adjusted to map services associated with the packets with an appropriate media access control (MAC) flow such that the modem receiving the packet may process and route the packet to target end-destination.

The UE may exchange capability information with a core network related to machine learning models. For example, the UE may indicate a list of machine learning models supported at the UE to a core network entity, and the UE may receive an indication of a list of machine learning models supported at the core network entity. The UE or the core network may initiate the configuration. For example, the UE may request to be configured with a machine learning model. The core network may send control signaling indicating a configuration for the machine learning model to the UE. The UE may perform analytics based on the machine learning model.
