Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure are generally directed to extended signaling protocols for multi-subscriber identity module (MSIM) user-equipment (UE) for new radio (NR). For example, certain aspects provide a method for wireless communication by a UE. The method generally includes receiving a first message from a network entity enquiring regarding information associated with a multi-subscriber identify module (SIM) capability of the UE, determining the information associated with the multi-SIM capability of the UE in response to the inquiry from the network entity, and communicating one or more messages to indicate the information regarding the multi-SIM capability to the network entity.
Abstract:
Apparatuses and methods for a wireless communication device having a first Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) and a second SIM to manage communication via the first SIM and the second SIM are disclosed. The method can include, but is not limited to, sending a first message including an indication of an extended signaling capability, receiving a second message including an inquiry regarding the extended signaling capability, and sending a third message including extended capability information, responsive to receiving the second message.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus determines an interference type between a time division duplex (TDD) configuration subframe of a serving cell and a corresponding TDD configuration subframe of a neighboring cell, and sets a transmit power for an apparatus in the serving cell based on the interference type. The apparatus in the serving cell may be a user equipment (UE), in which case the apparatus applies a set of uplink (UL) open loop power control parameters for the UE. The apparatus in the serving cell may be a base station (eNB), in which case a DL transmit power is set for the eNB. Depending on the interference type, the DL transmit power may be a fixed, full power DL transmission or an adjusted DL transmission.
Abstract:
A venue-cast system and method for providing and receiving venue level transmissions and services, including discovery of a venue specific transmission by receiving an overhead signal from a non-venue network, extracting information for receiving the venue specific transmission from the overhead signal, and tuning to receive the venue specific transmission based on the extracted information. The venue level transmission may be provided and received in a manner that does not prevent an access terminal from receiving a local area or wide area transmission.
Abstract:
Various embodiments enable recovering from an out-of-service state in a wireless device. A processor may perform scans of a first acquisition database to acquire a first renewed service connection for a first subscriber identification module (SIM). The scans include first and second searches for first and second channels identified in first and second technology lists, respectively, from the first acquisition database, respectively, until either a renewed service connection is acquired or each of the first and second technology lists are exhausted. The first and second technology lists identify channels from first and second radio access technologies. A currently used channel of a second SIM acquired service is first on the first technology list. The processor may perform a full frequency scan to acquire a first renewed service connection for the first SIM in response to determining that each of the first and second technology lists were exhausted.
Abstract:
An apparatus for wireless communication, including a memory and at least one processor coupled to the memory. The at least one processor is configured to receive a pre-allocation resource for a target cell via a handover command and transmit a physical layer acknowledgment based on a target cell downlink packet. The at least one processor is also configured to receive an indication for a communication with the target cell in response to the physical layer acknowledgement and access the target cell using the pre-allocated resource based on the indication for the communication with the target cell.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may run a process associated with a low latency. As such, the UE may operate in a mode to stay in a connected state with a network. The mode may include transmitting a keep alive message. Such message may be transmitted based in part on a keep alive timer with a shorter duration than a network traffic inactivity timer. If no communications occur between the UE and the network by the expiration of the keep alive timer, the UE may transmit a keep alive message to the network to maintain the connected state and reset the keep alive timer. Alternatively, if communications do occur, the UE may reset the keep alive timer. If the process is terminated, the UE may exit the mode for staying in the connected state, which may include canceling the keep alive timer.
Abstract:
Various embodiments include methods for adjusting timing advance values on a mobile communication device that includes receiving, on the mobile communication device, a timing advance adjustment value from a base station and determining whether the timing advance adjustment value exceeds an adjustment threshold. The mobile communication device may ignore the timing advance adjustment value in response to determining that the timing advance adjustment value exceeds the adjustment threshold, and may adjust a timing advance value stored on the mobile communication device by the timing advance adjustment value in response to determining that the timing advance adjustment value does not exceed the adjustment threshold.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, apparatuses, and media are provided for recovery of information from redundancy version packets in systematic encoding environments when a redundancy version packet containing primarily systematic information may be corrupted. A plurality of redundancy version packets may be received at a user equipment device from a transmission device. Each redundancy version packet of the plurality of redundancy version packets may be based on a same group of information bits. A first redundancy version packet of the plurality of redundancy version packets may contain more bits of the same group of information bits than do the other redundancy version packets of the plurality of redundancy version packets. The same group of information bits may be recovered based on one or more second redundancy version packets of the plurality of redundancy version packets but not based on the first redundancy version packet.
