摘要: Aspects described herein provide designs to reduce the probability of persistent PF/PO conflicts of different subscriptions for a multi-SIM/USIM UE. A base station may be configured to determine a first conflict avoidance PO based on one or more modified parameters associated with the first conflict avoidance PO. The base station may be further configured to transmit a first paging message in the first conflict avoidance PO in a first DRX cycle. A UE may be configured to receive the one or more modified parameters in SIB. The UE may be configured to determine the first conflict avoidance PO based on the one or more modified parameters. The UE may be further configured to receive the first paging message in the first conflict avoidance PO in the first DRX cycle.

摘要: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques and apparatus for quick radio link control (RLC) retransmission on hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) failure during tune away. According to certain aspects, a method for wireless communications is provided. The method generally includes performing communications with a base station (BS) using radio components tuned to a first air interface, detecting a tune-away of the radio components from the first air interface to a second air interface while performing the communications, and scheduling one or more packets for retransmission to the BS upon completion of the tune-away, wherein the one or more packets are one or more packets that failed to be transmitted due to the tune-away.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Some wireless devices (e.g., dual subscriber identity modules (SIM) devices) may support two subscriptions such that while one subscription is actively transmitting or receiving, the other subscription is put on standby. The wireless device may identify collisions in time between monitored paging messages associated with the first and second subscriptions. Accordingly, the wireless device may modify a radio access technology (RAT) priority setting for one of the subscriptions, such that paging messages may be received via a RAT different that the RAT used for the other subscription (e.g., following a cell reselection procedure performed according to the modified RAT priority). Operation using a modified RAT priority setting may be referred to as a fallback mode, which may be exited upon expiration of a timer. Additionally, discontinuous reception (DRX) durations associated with the RATs used for subscription paging may be reduced.

摘要: Embodiments include methods implemented by a processor of a mobile communication device for managing tune-aways by a radio frequency resource supporting a first subscription to support a second subscription. The processor may determine a data loss ratio of the data of a media file that is lost in transmission to the mobile communication device. The processor may compare the data loss ratio of the data to a first data loss ratio threshold and a second data loss ratio threshold, and the processor may block a tune-away event of the radio frequency resource from the first subscription to the second subscription in response to determining that the data loss ratio of the data is greater than the first data loss ratio threshold and less than the second data loss ratio threshold.

The UE attempts to decode one or more subframes in the first MSP. The UE detects an occurrence of an MSP abort decoding event. The UE determines that the first MSP does not include any subframe that carries MBMS data of an MBMS segment based on the detection of the MSP abort decoding events. The UE aborts the attempt to decode the one or more subframes.

Various example methods may include determining whether positioning information can be obtained from a first network associated with the LTE subscription, obtaining the positioning information from the first network through the LTE subscription in response to determining that the positioning information can be obtained from the first network, translating the positioning information into a format recognizable to a GPS application executing on the wireless communication device, and providing the positioning information to the GPS application.
