Abstract:
An assembly for controlling a device. The assembly includes a circuit board and a carrier. The carrier includes a first portion having a flexible arm and a second portion extending at an angle from the first portion. The circuit board extends between and is disposed adjacent to the first and second portions.
Abstract:
A tire pressure sensor assembly is provided for use with a wheel rim including a valve hole. The sensor assembly including a metal valve stem element having a stem base, a stem body, a stem cap end, and an inner stem chamber. A lower sensor housing is rigidly over-molded onto the stem base and forms a sensor storage chamber. A tire pressure sensor element is mounted therein. An outer rubber seal is over-molded onto the stem body and includes an inner retention portion, an outer retention portion, and a retention groove configured to allow the metal valve stem element to be press-fit and retained into the valve hole. A plurality of vent holes are formed spaced around an outer perimeter of the stem base to allow universal orientation within the valve hole.
Abstract:
A trim assembly for a motor vehicle includes a component that is moveable between first and second positions, and a first latch member associated with the component and having first and second latch features and an intermediate surface disposed between the latch features. The assembly further includes a second latch member that is selectively engageable with the first and second latch features of the first latch member to retain the component in the first and second positions, respectively. The second latch member is also engageable with the intermediate surface when the component moves between the first and second positions to dampen movement of the component.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a center stack face plate that has an integrated HVAC duct assembly. This invention removes many parts and assemblies from typical HVAC duct assemblies and provides complete integration of HVAC duct assembly within the center stack face plate. The connector duct and air conditioner housing along with the barrel assembly make a direct point of connection with the center stack face plate allowing for typical usage of an HVAC system in a more streamlined fashion.
Abstract:
A starter assembly for a vehicle includes a housing adapted to be coupled to a vehicle ignition system. A carrier has a key opening and is movably mounted within the housing. A latch is movably mounted to the carrier and is movable between a first latch position and a second latch position. An electronic key is provided to be received in the key opening of the carrier. The key has a first end, a second end, and a longitudinal axis. The first end includes a first end wall. The first end wall has an opening defining an axially extending cavity therein.
Abstract:
The present invention contemplates to power adjustable seats in vehicles that include a seat motors assembly having snap together features to secure one or more metal motor housings between housing end caps. The snap together features have portions that elastically deform and snap back into position to secure the assembly together, while allowing for easy disassembly for servicing.
Abstract:
An electronic module that is activated by the touch of a button for sending a wireless signal to a remote receiver. The module has a housing with an upper portion that is secured in relation to a vehicle. A lower portion of the housing has mating apertures and openings provided therein. A set of staking posts extends from an upper face of one or more buttons. The staking posts have a leading end that is registrable with the mating apertures that are provided in the lower portion of the housing. A set of actuating posts also extends from the upper face of the button. Those posts extend within at least some of the openings that are defined in the lower portion of the housing. Optionally, an array of light pipes is in optical communication with a set of switches. One of the switches can be closed following contact by a leading end of one of the posts when a button is depressed. A printed circuit board is positioned in operative communication with one or more of the buttons so that upon touching a button, a circuit in the circuit board is closed by one of the switches. A signal is then sent wirelessly to a remote receiver.
Abstract:
A vehicle instrument panel assembly includes a console provided in a center stacking area receiving one or more vehicle components including a media player. A trim bezel configured for use with the one or more vehicle components is secured to the console. An alignment mechanism cooperates with the media player and an opening in the trim bezel to load and unload removable media. The alignment mechanism includes a load funnel securable adjacent an opening in the media player and an eject funnel cooperating with an opening in the trim bezel.
