摘要： Systems and methods are provided herein to ease the process of navigating media asset identifiers. Control circuitry may generate a timeline scroller that does not obscure media asset identifiers for simultaneous display with the media asset identifiers. When a user makes contact with the timeline scroller (e.g., by touching it with a finger on a touch screen device), control circuitry may responsively generate for display an indicator of a time corresponding with the point where the contact is made. Control circuitry may cause this indicator to be updated as a user scrolls along the timeline scroller. Control circuitry may refrain from updating the listings to correspond with the time until the user discontinues making contact with the timeline scroller (e.g., by removing the finger from the touch screen).

摘要： Systems and methods are provided herein for selecting graphics to use as backgrounds of media asset identifiers. To this end, a media guidance application may determine that a media asset identifier is to be generated for display, and may determine whether the user input an explicit preference for a media asset corresponding to the media asset identifier (e.g., the user added the media asset to his watch list). In response to determining that the user input the explicit preference for the media asset corresponding to the media asset identifier, the media guidance application may determine display dimensions of the second media asset identifier, select a graphic that corresponds to the display dimensions, and generate for display the selected graphic as a background graphic of the media asset identifier.

摘要： Method and systems are disclosed for presenting media asset identifiers retrieved based on a user search criteria. User's input of a first information, a second information, and a third information is received. The system identifies an information type associated with each received information. If the first information and the third information are associated with the same information type, a first query is created that combines the first information and the third information to retrieve media asset identifiers according to information type instructions associated with the first information type. The second information is integrated into the first query. If the second information and the third information are associated with the same information type, a second query is created that combines that second information and the third information to retrieve media asset identifiers according to instructions associated with the second information type. The first information is integrated into the second query.
