摘要： Systems and methods for generating media program keywords based on a video-hosting website are disclosed herein. Control circuitry identifies, on the video-hosting website, video content items that include at least a portion of a media program. The media program has a media program identifier and the video content items have respective titles, each including one or more terms. The control circuitry identifies a term included in more than one of the titles and identifies a group of the video content items that have the term included in their title. Based on the video-hosting website, the control circuitry determines a cumulative number of rankings of the video content items within the group and generates a relevance score for the term based on the cumulative number of rankings. The control circuitry stores the term and the relevance score in a keyword database in association with the media program identifier.

摘要： A video distribution server according to an embodiment of the present invention promotes the viewing of live videos. The server is communicably connected to a user terminal via a communication network and provides a live video distribution service for distributing and viewing a live video to the user via the user terminal. The server associates (adds) the tag input by the user who is viewing a live video with this live video and presents information on the live video being distributed based on the associated tag. Therefore, the user can know the current content (topic) of the live video being distributed from the information based on the tag input by the actual viewer. As a result, for example, a new user can comfortably start viewing the live video.

摘要： Apparatus and methods for recording a media stream for use by a rendering device. In one embodiment, a client device records live, unbound streaming media content from a Content Delivery Network (CDN) in “chunks” according to a data structure such as a manifest file. The live media content stream chunks are compressed and stored for later playback. The client device uses information regarding the chunks to generate a local manifest file, which it then uses to reconstruct the media stream. A video client may also dynamically insert and account for updated secondary content (such as advertisements) during each playback instance, thus enabling the service provider to realize commercial opportunities which were previously not possible. Various operational/business rules are also disclosed for e.g., enabling and disabling functions with respect to playback of the content.
