A vehicle simulation system equipped to display information on the rear side of a driver (rider). The simulation system includes a dummy bicycle operated by the rider, a monitor on the front side for displaying a scene based on the operations of the dummy bicycle, and a lamp unit connected to the dummy bicycle and provided on the rear side relative to the seated position of the rider. The lamp unit has a red lamp, a yellow lamp and a green lamp, and is controlledly turned ON under the action of a main control unit. An input device is provided on a steering handle of the dummy bicycle. The input device has a switch for red, a switch for yellow, and a switch for green. The rider checks behind, and operates the input device according to the ON/OFF conditions of the lamp unit.

An antenna disposition structure is suitable for a motorcycle. An antenna is disposed in a front cover in such a manner as to be disposed over a headlamp and forwardly from a virtual slant line connecting the center of a handlebar to an axle of a front wheel. A driver, who functions as a radio wave absorbing body, acts to weaken radio waves. However, since the antenna is disposed forwardly from the slant line, it is possible to prevent the effect of absorption of radio waves by a driver and to prevent reductions in electromagnetic fields in the vertical and horizontal directions.

A head-up display is provided which is suitable for a motorcycle. An image is present in peripheral fields outside a 90% center field. In the case where the image is located outside the 90% center field, it does not obstruct driving of the vehicle, and in the case where the image is located in the peripheral fields, it allows a driver to dimly see the shape of the image and thereby recognize the presence of the image. For this reason, the image is located in the peripheral fields. Since an image is located in a peripheral field, the presence of the image can be recognized by a driver while not obstructing a desirable visibility to the front side of the driver. The driver can recognize, on the basis of the presence or absence of the image, whether or not attention should be taken to drive the vehicle.

To eliminate a wrong recognition of speech and reduce processing load to be applied to a computer in a simulation apparatus. The simulation apparatus includes a speech recognition section for referring to dictionary data in which a plurality of phrase data are recorded to specify phrase data, a dictionary selection section for selecting the dictionary data to be referred to by the speech recognition section in response to a mode, and a monitor and a motor for being operated based on an operation of rider, speech and the phrase data. The speech recognition section confirms whether or not sound inputting is valid. If the sound inputting is valid, then a speech recognition mark is displayed on a screen. One of the dictionary data is selected based on the mode. Voice of the rider and the dictionary data are referred to for searching for phrase data conforming to the recognized speech.
