    摘要: A vehicle antenna device ensures effective protection of a vehicle antenna from electrostatic discharges in a wheel bearing of the motor vehicle. The vehicle antenna device includes an electrically conducting structure which acts as an antenna in a fender which is separated from the vehicle interior by an electrically conductive body panel and is made of an electrically nonconducting material in the area of the structure. A shielding wall made of an electrically conductive material is provided, this wall being electrically conductively connected to the body panel and being situated between a wheel bearing and the electrically conducting structure.

    摘要: An antenna apparatus has a patch radiator member; a ground-plane back-up element for the patch radiator member; and a feed arrangement connecting the patch radiator member to radio circuitry. The patch radiator member has inner and outer patch portions that define a first open slot between first edges of the patch portions. A metallic wall portion connects second edges of the patch portions that are opposed to the first edges, and reflects a wave propagating toward the metallic wall portion and feeds the reflected wave toward the first open slot with a 180 degree phase reversal. A reflector-and-slot extension-metallic arm is folded over another open slot between the first edge of the inner patch portion and the ground plane back-up element to provide a 180 degree phase reversal by reflect-feedback of an outgoing wave from the another slot. The antenna apparatus can be made in small size for mounting within portable communications devices, while maintaining satisfactory operating characteristics.

In other embodiments, a multiband fractal antenna is provided which includes a first group of triangular shaped antenna portions, and a second triangular shaped antenna portion(s), wherein each of the triangular shaped antenna portions of the first group is located within a periphery of the second triangular shaped antenna portion. The first group of antenna portions transmits and/or receives at a first frequency band, while the second antenna portion(s) transmits and/or receives at a second frequency band different than the first band.

    摘要: The invention relates to an antenna unit for receiving electromagnetic signals in a vehicle, comprising a plurality of antennae, of which at least one antenna is adapted to receive signals in the GHz range and at least one antenna has an essentially two-dimensional spatial extent, and two or more tuner units, which are each connected to at least one antenna. The antenna unit is characterized in that the output signals from the tuner units are connected to a common coordinating member, and that said antennae, tuner units and coordinating member are arranged on a common supporting element to form an integrated unit. An output signal from the coordinating member is via a communication interface connectable to a vehicle-internal communication path. Antennae and tuner units can be releasably arranged on the supporting element to provide a modularized antenna unit.
