A modulation method and an apparatus with consideration of adaptive Hybrid Automatic Repeat reQuest (HARQ) in a wireless communication system are provided. The method of a transmission end supporting a hybrid modulation technique in which different types of modulation schemes are mixed, information of a channel state with a reception end is collected. A modulation order of a first type of a modulation scheme and a modulation order of a second type of a modulation scheme are determined. The modulation order of a first type of a modulation scheme and a modulation order of a second type of a modulation scheme form the hybrid modulation technique.

The present invention defines a share group, and enables a content generated during an activity period to be automatically shared in the share group during the activity period. According to an embodiment of the present invention, an automatic content share method comprises, in a content share method, the steps of: setting a share group to share the content, an activity and an activity period; and sharing the generated content on the basis of the share group to share the content, the activity and the activity period, wherein the share group is formed on the basis of a proximity discovery.

A method for generating a decoding metric in a wireless communication system includes receiving an FQAM symbol and determining transmission probabilities of FQAM symbol candidates from a received value of the FQAM symbol, wherein the transmission probabilities of the FQAM symbol candidates are determined by multiplying a probability that a QAM symbol included in the FQAM symbol is mapped to each of candidate values in one frequency and a probability that a signal is not transmitted in the other at least one frequency. An apparatus in a wireless communication system for supporting FQAM, the apparatus comprising an RF processing unit configured to receive an FQAM symbol, and a modem configured to determine transmission probabilities of FQAM symbol candidates from a received value of the FQAM symbol.

A method for supporting Time-Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (TQAM) in a wireless communication system includes generating a transmission symbol identified by a combination of a QAM symbol and a position of a time resource to which the QAM symbol is mapped, shifting at least one QAM symbol among QAM symbols contained in the transmission symbols with respect to a time axis, and readjusting a constellation point of the QAM symbol on the basis of a shifting quantity. A method for operating a receive end comprises receiving a reception symbol identified by a combination of a QAM symbol and a position of a time resource to which the QAM symbol is mapped, restoring at least one QAM symbol shifted in a transmit end for uniformizing of the time-axis distribution of QAM symbols contained in the reception symbols, generating decoding metrics for the reception symbol, and performing decoding the reception symbol using the decoding metric.

The present disclosure is related to a 5th generation (5G) or pre-5G communication system to provide higher data rates than a 4th generation (4G) communication system such as long term evolution (LTE). A method for adjusting a receive beam gain by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes estimating a received signal quality value based on a reference signal received from a base station (BS), transmitting information about the estimated received signal quality value to the BS, comparing the received signal quality value with a minimum received signal quality value required for successful reception of data from the BS, and adjusting a receive beam gain to be used for data reception by turning on/off a radio frequency (RF) chain formed for each of antennas included in the UE based on a result of the comparison.

A method of transmitting a signal using a plurality of modulation and coding schemes by a transmitter in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes when a position of an active tone hits a position of a pilot tone of an adjacent cell, the active tone corresponding to a tone boosted through an application of a hybrid Frequency Shift Keying (FSK) and Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (QAM) Modulation (FQAM) scheme among tones included in an FQAM symbol based on the FQAM scheme in which a QAM scheme and a FSK scheme are combined, detecting two or more tones, which do not hit the position of the pilot tone among the tones included in the FQAM symbol, and transmitting signals by using the detected two or more tones.
