    摘要: An electric double layer capacitor has an electrode unit (10), an external lid (4), an external case, and a gasket (8) disposed between the external lid (4) and the external case (5). The external case (5) has an open end part that is bent inwardly with the external lid and the external case being disposed so that inner surfaces of the top wall and the bottom wall face each other, to hermetically close an accommodating space, formed by the external case and the external lid. The thickness of at least the circumferential wall of the external lid (4) is greater than the thickness of the external case (5). The circumferential wall of the external lid (4) extends substantially linearly toward the bottom wall of the external case (5), and the extending edge of the circumferential wall of the external lid (4) is buried in the gasket (8).

    摘要: An electric double layer capacitor is provided with a cell, in which a pair of polarizable electrodes, which are impregnated with an electrolyte, are disposed in opposition on either side of a separator; wherein the polarizable electrodes are provided with collector electrodes, a peripheral portion of the cell is sealed by a sealing member composed of synthetic resin, and the sealing member is formed by abutting two case halves. A manufacturing method for the capacitor includes a process step of providing at least one long slit in the collector electrodes; a step of forming the case halves formed by insert molding on the collector electrodes and filling the slit, the case halves comprising a recess, one side of which extends in the lengthwise direction of the slit and, the cell being fitted into a portion inward from the slit; and a step of joining the case halves by abutting the case halves and applying ultrasonic vibration either in a perpendicular direction or a diagonal direction with respect to the lengthwise direction of the slit.

The conductive polymer can further contain a tetrahydronaphthalenesulfonate ion, a naphthalenesulfonate ion or a benzenesulfonate ion as the dopant. As a result, a solid electrolytic capacitor having a low ESR and a good heat resistance is provided.

    摘要: A cylinder block (10) is such that a main body cylinder block (4; 404) and an outer cylinder block (6; 406) are molded separately. As a result, the portion of the die which is used to mold a water jacket (50; 450) does not need to be made thin, thereby increasing the life of the die. Further, cylinders (12; 412) are of a simple shape and the pressure in the axial direction of the cylinder (12; 412) is able to be dispersed substantially evenly between the cylinders (12; 412) and the outer cylinder block (6; 406), thus enabling the cylinders (12; 412) to be thin. Accordingly, there is an increased degree of freedom in design of the portion which forms the water jacket (50; 450). The water jacket (50; 450) and the cylinders (12; 412) can therefore both be made sufficiently thin, thereby contributing to a decrease in both the size and weight of the engine.

    摘要: A cylinder head gasket includes a pair of first and second gasket substrates. The gasket substrates are each formed with a first and a second projection which project in opposite directions, with a clearance therebetween. According to a first aspect of the invention, each projection undergoes a plastic deformation toward the clearance defined between them when the gasket substrates are held sandwiched between a cylinder head and a cylinder block, each projection undergoing a magnitude of plastic deformation which is greater or lesser in accordance with the magnitude of a surface pressure therebetween. According to a second aspect of the invention, each projection is formed with a radially central part which projects toward the radially central part of the other projection and which is in close contact with each other continuously in the circumferential direction.
