    Abstract: A connector includes a first connector and a second connector which are fitted to each other to be electrically connected. One of the first and second connectors is provided with shutters each of which is pivotally moved outwardly upon application of an external force to a front surface portion of the respective shutters. The other connector is provided with front end portions, and during the time when the two connectors are fitted together, each of the front end portions urges the front surface portion of the associated shutter.

    Abstract: A shielded connector is so designed that its inner housing can be used independently, and the core wires of a shielded cable can be directly connected to the inner housing which has been shielded. A female inner connector and a male inner connector, in which terminals are accommodated respectively, are so designed as to be used independently. A female outer housing which is electrically conductive and connected to the shielding braid of a shielded cable is detachably preset over the female inner connector. A male outer housing which is electrically conductive and is connected to the shielding braid of a shielded cable is detachably preset over the male inner connector so that the male outer housing is fixedly coupled to the female outer housing through electrically conductive fixing means with the former electrically connected to the latter.

    Abstract: The feeder connector is designed to prevent incomplete engagement of the feeding and receiving side connectors and to facilitate connection work when charging an electric car. The feeder connector comprises a feeding side connector A on the power supply apparatus side and a receiving side connector B on the car body side. The feeding side connector A has a connector body 1, a protective case 2 and a lock lever 12. The protective case 2 consists of a main case 2A made up of a cylinder portion 3, a half-cylinder portion 4 and a trough portion 5, all formed integral, and a subcase 2B.     Abstract: In a connector device, a female connector is fixedly mounted on a first base body, and a male connector 10 is mounted on a second base body which is swingable about a rotating axis with respect to the first base body, in such a manner that the male connector is loosely fitted in a guide, being displaceable in a direction perpendicular to the rotating axis, and is kept urged towards the rotating axis by urging means.     Abstract: A connector which includes a male connector housing (1), a female connector housing (2), and a rotary shaft (3) for camming the male connector housing (1) into engagement with the female connector housing. The male connector housing 1 includes flexible arms (6) having engagement claws (8) for alternatively engaging holes (19) and (20) provided in the female connector housing so as to retain the connector housings in a provisionally engaged position or a completely engaged position. The flexible arms also include a constrictive portion (7) for flexing the arms outwardly when the shaft is inserted into the connector housings.     Abstract: An apparatus for confirming the fitting of an electric connector in which a male connector housing is fitted in a hood of a female connector housing so as to connect together metal terminals received respectively in the terminal receiving chambers of the male and female connector housings. A lock lever, having a holder spring, is pivotally connected at one end to a first side portion of the hood. A locking plate, having a provisional locking groove and a complete locking groove, is formed on a second side portion of the hood. Both the provisional and complete locking grooves are engageable with the holder spring. A fitting confirmation projection is formed on a reverse surface of the lock lever, and interferes with the male connector housing when the fitting of the male connector housing is imperfect, thereby preventing the engagement between the holder spring and the complete locking groove. The apparatus also may be used when a hood of a female connector housing is fitted in an electronic unit case so as to provide an open window in the electronic unit case. In this embodiment, a manipulation press portion is formed on a second end of the lock lever. Additionally, a screen portion is formed on the press portion so as to close the window in the electronic unit case to prevent foreign matter from penetrating the electronic unit case.
