In a method for operating a self ignition internal combustion engine in which fuel is injected directly into a combustion chamber by means of an injection nozzle, such that a portion of the fuel is injected into the combustion chamber as a pre-injection amount forming a homogenous pre-mixture providing for a combustion phase comprising a low temperature phase and a high temperature phase and the main fuel amount is injected into the combustion chamber during the high temperature phase of the pre-injection fuel combustion such that the ignition of the main injection amount takes place after the start and before the end of the high temperature phase.

Molding compositions are based on polymers of ethylene made from(A) from 40 to 65% by weight of an ethylene polymer having a density in the range from 0.948 to 0.964 g/cm.sup.3, a melt flow index (MFI) of from 6 to 20 g/10 min and a mean molar mass distribution M.sub.w /M.sub.n in the range from 2 to 5,(B) from 35 to 60% by weight of an ethylene polymer having a density in the range from 0.935 to 0.953 g/cm.sup.3, a melt flow index (MFI) of from 0.1 to 0.35 g/10 min and a mean molar mass distribution M.sub.w /M.sub.n in the range from 6 to 20, and(C) from 0 to 6% by weight of the usual additives for thermoplastics,where the density of the molding compositions is in the range from 0.948 to 0.957 g/cm.sup.3, the melt flow index is in the range from 1.0 to 2.0 g/10 min, the mean molar mass distribution M.sub.w /M.sub.n is in the range from 3 to 10 and the difference of the densities of components A and B (.DELTA.D=D.sub.(A) -D.sub.(B)) is in the range from 0 to 0.029 g/cm.sup.3.

Abstract:
A magazine for flat articles, in particular folding boxes lying flat, including a horizontal conveyor apparatus for receiving a supply stack of folded boxes and a vertical receiving chute from which the folding boxes can be withdrawn in succession and delivered to a conveyor in an open condition. In order to keep the pressure on the lowermost folding boxes in the receiving chute constant, the receiving chute is refilled with folding boxes as needed from the conveyor apparatus, so that the stack height in the receiving chute remains constant. The transfer of folding boxes from the supply stack on the conveyor apparatus into the receiving chute is effected via a gap, through which the horizontally delivered holding boxes, resting obliquely, are purposefully tipped via rollers or via a support podium into the receiving chute at the transition from the conveyor apparatus.

A turbocharger device for an internal combustion engine including two exhaust gas turbochargers, wherein a regulating device for adjustment of the supply of exhaust gas to one of the turbines or to both turbines is provided in the flow stream of the exhaust gas. A common exhaust gas inflow channel for both turbines is preferably provided on the turbine housing of one of the exhaust gas turbochargers, with two exhaust channel segments for supplying exhaust gas to the respective turbines branching off from the exhaust gas inflow channel. The regulating device is provided where the exhaust gas channel segments branch from the exhaust gas inflow channel on the turbine housing.

In a venting arrangement for a crankcase of an internal combustion engine including a centrifugal separator having a rotatable housing with an inlet channel for the admission of an oil-air mixture and an exit channel for the discharge of air from which the oil has been removed, the inlet channel extends essentially in a direction parallel to the axis of rotation of the housing, but in spaced relationship from the axis so that oil which has been separated from the oil-air mixture moves, subjected to centrifugal forces, radially outwardly at a 90.degree. angle to the generally axial oil-air mixture flow through the separator.

In an exhaust gas turbocharger for an internal combustion engine including an exhaust gas turbine in the exhaust line and a compressor in the intake tract of the internal combustion engine, and the exhaust gas turbine includes a gas inlet passage with a variable guide vane structure supported on one side of a support ring arranged in the inlet flow passage to the turbine wheel, the support ring is mounted in a floating manner such that the side thereof, which faces away form the guide vanes is exposed to the gas pressure in the inlet flow passage in order to bias the support ring toward the opposite inlet flow passage wall and spacer sleeves with expansion properties similar to those of the guide vanes are provided between the support ring and the opposite flow passage wall for delimiting the clearance between the guide vanes and the opposite flow passage wall.
