The controller defines one memory region as an object of the telephone book data transfer process and another memory region as an object of the telephone book data utilizing process. The controller executes the telephone book data utilizing process with using the telephone book data in the another memory region while the controller executes the telephone book data transfer process for storing a new telephone book data in the one memory region.

摘要： An in-vehicle apparatus selects, as a profile connection mode, one connection mode out of a first connection mode and a second connection mode, and performs profile connection using the selected one connection mode. The first connection mode is to transmit a profile connection request signal to a communication partner so as to start a connection procedure; the second connection mode is to wait for reception of a profile connection request signal from the communication partner for a predetermined time so as to start the connection procedure. When the profile connection using the selected one connection mode fails, a connection procedure using the other connection mode that was not selected previously is started. When the profile connection using the other connection mode is successful, upon occurrence of a next profile connection request, the other connection mode is selected as a profile connection mode.

The incoming mail reception determination section determines whether a cellular phone receives an incoming mail. The control section performs control regarding whether a mail reception notice should be issued to a user. The control section prohibits the mail reception notice from being issued to the user when the incoming mail reception determination section determines that the cellular phone receives the incoming mail and when the mode determination section determines that the cellular phone is in the handsfree communication mode.

摘要： In a vehicular navigation system, “AT command +CIEV” is received from a cellular phone by a BLUETOOTH communications. The received “+CIEV” is determined to identify a phoning state (or call state) of the cellular phone. A sound corresponding to the identified phoning state is outputted via a speaker in a corresponding sound volume level stored in an external memory device. A sound volume level, which was finally set for a certain phoning state, is not continuously used as an initial sound volume level for a subsequent phoning state different from the certain phoning state. An incoming sound, dialing sound, calling sound, and communicating sound are individually outputted in appropriately set sound volume levels, which enhances usability of the navigation system for users.
