The new key is derived during at least one of the secure sessions.

Abstract: At least some aspects of the present disclosure provide for a method of data transmission, performed by a wireless device. In some examples, the method includes receiving a localization tone having a first value. The method further includes inserting the localization tone into a data packet at an application layer of a communication protocol stack, the localization tone preceding data of a payload of the data packet and having a last bit immediately preceding a first bit of the data of the payload. The method further includes generating a modified localization tone estimating an effect of processing on the localization tone, wherein the modified localization tone is generated and configured to have the first value after undergoing processing. The method further includes replacing the localization tone in the data packet with the modified localization tone. The method further includes transmitting the data packet.

Abstract: A method for key refreshment in a wireless network system using a salt. The method includes receiving, from each of a plurality of secondary nodes communicably coupled to a primary node, a current session number. The current session numbers are compared to a session number at the primary node to identify a mismatch, and a salt is generated responsive to identifying the mismatch. The method further includes sending the salt to each of the plurality of secondary nodes having a current session number matching the session number at the primary node.

Abstract: In examples, a vehicular battery management system (BMS) comprises a set of battery cells and a secondary network node coupled to the set of battery cells. The secondary network node is configured to measure a parameter in the set of battery cells and generate a packet containing the parameter. The packet indicates a number of super frame slots that have elapsed from a start time of a super frame to the generation of the packet. The secondary network node is configured to wirelessly transmit the packet within the super frame to a primary network node. The primary network node is configured to wirelessly receive the packet and to determine a time at which the secondary network node generated the packet based on the indication, a time duration of each slot in the super frame, and the start time of the super frame.

Abstract: A system (and method) automatically extends a scheduled recording of a live event past its scheduled end time. The system include includes a content interface to receive program content. The system also includes a user interface to permit a user to schedule a user-selected program content for recording. The user-selected program content has a scheduled start time and a scheduled end time. A program content analyzer may detect a pattern in the user-selected program content. A recording unit may record the user-selected program content and automatically extend the recording past the scheduled end time based on whether the pattern is detected.
