    摘要: The transfer apparatus includes a light source, a transmission type image display device in which a liquid crystal layer is held between two sets of substrates and polarizing plates and a photosensitive recording medium. The light source, the image display device and the photosensitive recording medium are arranged in series along a direction in which light from the light source advances and the image display device and the photosensitive recording medium are arranged in a non-contact state. A display image transmitted from the transmission type image display device is transferred to the photosensitive recording medium. A distance between the image display device and the photosensitive recording medium and a sum total of thicknesses of the substrate and the polarizing plate at least on a side of the photosensitive recording medium in the image display device are set in accordance with a definition of the display image.

    摘要: A method for measuring the thickness of a multi-layer magnetic recording medium which provides a high accuracy and which can be used for continuous on-line monitoring of product thickness. First, first and second magnetic layers are simultaneously coated onto a running nonmagnetic support to form the recording medium. The first and second magnetic layers are made of materials having different responses to fluorescent X-rays. Then, the thickness of at least one of said first and second layers is measured by exposing the recording medium to fluorescent X-rays.

    摘要: A novel magnetic recording medium is disclosed which comprises a non-magnetic support having thereon at least three magnetic layers each layer of which containing a ferromagnetic powder dispersed in a binder, wherein the outermost magnetic layer arranged farthest from the support has a dry thickness of 1 .mu.m or less, and the at least three magnetic layers each exhibit coercive force Hc (Oe) satisfying the following relationships: ##EQU1## wherein H.sub.1 represents Hc of the outermost magnetic layer; Hn represents Hc of the magnetic layer which is the n-th layer from the outermost magnetic layer and arranged between the outermost layer and the non-magnetic support; and Dn represents the distance (.mu.m) from the top surface of the outermost magnetic layer to the top surface of the n-th layer. A novel process for the preparation of the magnetic recording medium is also disclosed.

    摘要: A coating method and an extrusion-type coating head in which turbulence at the junction between two flows of coating materials is prevented to provide multi-layer simultaneous coating over a wide range of coating rates and with a good coating quality. An intermediate block is sandwiched between a rear block defining a back edge and a front block defining a doctor edge. Two coating flows pass through slits formed on either side of the intermediate block, joining at the top end of the intermediate block and flowing together into a short slot extending between the end of the intermediate block and the outlet of the head.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for applying a magnetic liquid to a moving web by using an extruder head for ejecting the magnetic liquid onto the web. A by-pass line for returning the liquid to a feed source through a changeover valve is provided immediately upstream to the extruder head. The liquid is supplied to the by-pass line through the valve after the extruder head is filled with the liquid before the first starting of the application or the resumption thereof. The position of the valve is shifted at the time of the first starting of the application or the resumption thereof so as to supply the liquid to the head to perform the application.

The image reading device is a two-dimensional photoelectric conversion device, which has a size approximately equal to or larger than a size of an image area on the developed film, is disposed in the proximity of the developed film, and receives light beams carrying the information of the image that have passed through the developed film or have passed through the developed film and imaged through an imaging lens system.
