The vacuum chambers and bio processor are connected with each other to form an environment with a pressure lower than atmospheric pressure, and the bio sample moves toward the second vacuum chamber due to the pressure difference created by the injection of the bio sample into the first vacuum chamber.

An apparatus and method for detecting bio molecule using an inductor element that can detect the bonding reaction between a sample and a biochip by measuring the change of the electrical characteristics of a circuit including the inductance device. The method includes forming a signal conversion unit with at least one inductance device, arranging a biochip in a specified area of the signal conversion unit by immobilizing capturing probe biomolecules on a substrate and measuring electric characteristics of the signal conversion unit, performing a bonding reaction between a sample (such as DNA, RNA, protein, biomolecules, etc.) to be analyzed and the biochip, and measuring the electrical characteristics of the signal conversion unit after the reaction bonding. The result of the bio molecule detection is obtained through an electrical signal, and thus the capability of detecting the bio bonding reaction can be improved in comparison to the conventional apparatus and method.

The method includes transmitting RF energy to a sensor module having one or more probe biomolecules immobilized thereon, and determining a first energy charging time of the sensor module, the first energy charging time representing the amount of time for the sensor to be completely charged by the transmitted RF energy, prior to mixing of the one or more probe biomolecules with one or more target sample biomolecules. A second energy charging time of the sensor module is determined, the second energy charging time representing the amount of time for the sensor to be completely charged by the transmitted RF energy, following mixing of the one or more probe biomolecules with one or more target biomolecule sample. A determination of whether biomolecule bonding has occurred is based on a variation of the first and second energy charging times.

Disclosed is a biomolecule detector and a detection method using the same. The biomolecule detector includes a biomolecule chip having a substrate and a slit formed therein. Biomolecules are immobilized on at least a portion of the edges of the slit. A light source directs incident light toward the biomolecule chip, and a screen receives an image formed by a portion of the incident light passing through the slit. The biomolecule detector is small and portable, yet its capability for detecting a target biomolecule is quick, accurate and simple. The simple structural features of the biomolecule detector enable mass production.

The apparatus includes a generator for generating ultrasonic wave, a transformer, disposed in proximity to the generator, the transformer configured for vibration thereof by the generated ultrasonic wave. A probe biomolecule is immobilized on the transformer, and a metal plate is disposed in proximity to the transformer. An analyzer is configured for measuring the capacitance between the transformer and the metal plate. The bio-bonding detection apparatus conveniently determines whether bio-bonding is generated by detecting variation in capacitance or variation in a characteristic of the ultrasonic wave.
