    Abstract: Methods and apparatus for obtaining a frequency offset corresponding to a Doppler shift of transmission and/or reception frequencies between a wireless device and a network node. In one embodiment a method is performed by a wireless device for operating in a non-terrestrial network, NTN, the NTN having at least one network node and a communication satellite, wherein the at least one network node is one of a terrestrial base station and a satellite base station or satellite gateway, the method includes obtaining a frequency offset corresponding to a Doppler shift of transmission and/or reception frequencies between the wireless device and the network node and applying the frequency offset to an uplink transmission to the network node.

    Abstract: A network node of a wireless communication network provides information to a User Equipment (UE) that allows the UE to adapt it radio measurements with respect to the network, to account for “link changes.” Link changes are service-link and/or feeder-link changes arising from motion by the satellite(s) included in the Radio Access Network (RAN) portion of the network. The UE uses the provided information to adapt its radio measurements in conjunction with the link changes. Among the several advantages of accounting for satellite link changes in the manner contemplated are any one or more of reduced signaling going between the UE and the network, reduced battery consumption at the UE, mitigation of the effects of the link changes on the radio measurements, avoidance of spurious measurements, and an effective “automation” of the timed changeover by the UE to new measurement configurations, coincident with the occurrence of link changes.

    Abstract: According to some embodiments, a method in a wireless device for use in a radio network is provided. The method includes receiving network radio coverage information from a network element and determining a path of travel for the wireless device using the received network radio coverage information. In particular embodiments, the wireless device controls the wireless device to follow the determined path of travel. The wireless device may report radio coverage information to a network element. In particular embodiments, the network element receives a radio coverage report from a wireless device, determines network radio coverage information using the received radio coverage report, and sends the determined network radio coverage information to a wireless device. The wireless device may be an unmanned aerial vehicle.

    Abstract: A method and agent for reinforcement learning. The method may include evaluating a consequence of a previous action. Evaluating the consequence may include performing a comparison of one or more current monitored parameters (e.g., immediate reward, accumulated reward, average reward, and/or current key performance parameters) to one or more previous monitored parameters. The method may include, based on the evaluated consequence of the previous action, determining a subset of potential next actions. For a positive consequence, the determined subset of potential next actions may include only potential next actions that are likely to have the consequence as the previous action (e.g., based on a dot product of or angle between vectors of the previous action and the potential next action). The method may include selecting an action from the determined subset of potential next actions. The method may include performing the selected action.
