    摘要: A display device includes a plurality of rows of display pixels, a driver circuit which drives the plurality of rows of display pixels in units of a predetermined number of rows, and a control circuit which controls the driver circuit in such a manner as to alternately execute non-video signal write for simultaneously driving the predetermined number of rows of display pixels and writing non-video signals, and video signal write for successively driving the predetermined number of rows of display pixels and writing video signals. The control circuit assigns, in the video signal write, a first period to the row of display pixels which are first driven, and a second period to each of the other rows of display pixels, and sets the first period to be longer than the second period.

    摘要: The present invention provides a display apparatus that can reduce a voltage irregularity and a brightness irregularity accompanied by making an enlarged and a high resolution type display apparatus. The display apparatus comprises plural pixel electrodes 5 arranged in a matrix, a switching element 3 connected with the pixel electrode, a scanning electrode 1, a picture signal electrode 2, an opposite electrode forming a capacitance with the pixel electrode 5, and further comprising; a storage capacitance 7 between the pixel electrode 5 and the scanning electrode 5 other than the scanning electrode 1 of the present line; more than two capacitance elements connected with the pixel electrode 5, including at least one of a gate-drain inter-electrode capacitance 4 of the switching element 3 and the storage capacitance 7, having a different value according to the distance from the power feeding edge of the scanning electrode 1; wherein, each capacitance in each pixel is set so that, when all capacitance connected with the pixel electrode 5 in a pixel is denoted as Ctot, a first capacitance ratio α gd=Cgd/Ctot increases continuously or in stages according to the distance from the power feeding edge of the scanning electrode 1, or a second capacitance ratio α st=Cst/Ctot is substantially constant.

    摘要: In one embodiment, a pair of liquid crystal shutter glasses include a first liquid crystal shutter and a second liquid crystal shutter. The first and second liquid crystal shutters are switched to a transmissive state by turns. The respective first and second liquid crystal shutters include a first electrode substrate and a second electrode substrate opposing the first electrode substrate. An OCB (Optically Compensated Bend) mode liquid crystal layer is held between the first and second electrode substrates. The first electrode substrate includes a first electrode and a second electrode arranged adjacent to the first electrode. The first and second electrodes respectively include a side opposing each other and a plurality of projecting portions provided to the respective opposing sides of the first and second electrodes alternately.

Dummy display pixels are disposed on a terminal end side of the display section in a rubbing direction. A driving unit includes circuit for cyclically applying a reverse transition prevention signal to the dummy display pixels.

The alignment layer defines an alignment direction parallel to the main surface, an upstream side as one end's side of the alignment direction, and a downstream side as another end's side of the alignment direction, and tilts liquid crystal molecules toward the downstream side. Each electrode includes an upstream section that includes a first edge facing the upstream side and a downstream section that includes a second edge facing the downstream side and is provided with a recess recessed relative to the second edge. The first recess forms on the downstream section a third edge extending in the alignment direction and a fourth edge connecting the third edge to the second edge and facing the upstream side.
