    摘要： A herbicidal composition comprising a herbicidal amount of a mixture of(a) at least one S-.alpha.,.alpha.-dimethylbenzyl-N-alkylenimine carbothiolate of the formula ##STR1## wherein R represents a lower alkyl group, m is 0, 1 or 2, n is 4, 5 or 6, and the chain of n --CH.sub.2 -- linkages may contain one oxygen atom, and(b) at least one compound selected from the group consisting of N-[p-(p-chlorobenzyloxy)phenyl]-3,4,5,6-tetrahydrophthalimide, 1,3-dimethyl-4-(2,4-dichlorobenzoyl)-5-(p-tolylsulfonyloxy)pyrazole, 3,4-dichloropropionanilide, and 1-(2-phenylpropyl)-3-(4-tolyl)urea, and a method for controlling weeds, which comprises applying 1 to 2,000 g/10 ares of the aforesaid composition to the locus where the weeds are growing or will grow. The composition is especially useful in rice cultivation for controlling weeds of Family Gramineae (e.g., barnyard grass) and broad-leaved weeds without toxocity to rice.

    摘要： A shared print server control program and a shared print server control method are disclosed. In addition to a standard spooler included in the operating system mounted on a server for managing the printing jobs based on the shared printer function, an additional spooler for assisting in the management of the printing jobs is arranged on the server. The additional spooler, after sequentially receiving all the printing jobs transmitted from the client, cuts off the communicative connection with the client immediately without waiting for the end of the processing operation of the previously receiving printing jobs. The additional spooler in operation transmits packets indicating that the additional spooler is in operation, to a predetermined communication port at predetermined intervals, and after starting the processing operation of the printing jobs, monitors the printer status. Upon occurrence of a printer error during the processing operation of the printing jobs, the error information is notified in accordance with a predetermined protocol to the client with a predetermined resident program installed therein. In this way, the operation of a shared printer system is realized.

    摘要： A compound of the general formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.0 represents an alkyl group optionally having a substituent selected from the class consisting of a cyano group, lower alkoxy groups and di-(lower alkyl)amino groups, a lower alkenyl group, or a lower alkynyl group; R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3, independently from each other, represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a lower alkyl group, or a lower alkoxy group; R.sub.4, R.sub.5, R.sub.6, R.sub.7 and R.sub.8, independently from each other, represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a lower alkyl group, or a lower alkoxy group; Y represents a group of the formula ##STR2## or a group of the formula ##STR3## in which one of R.sub.9 and R.sub.10 is a lower alkyl group and the other is a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group; with the proviso that when Y is the group ##STR4## and R.sub.0 represents an unsubstituted alkyl group, R.sub.4, R.sub.5, R.sub.6, R.sub.7 and R.sub.8 do not represent hydrogen atoms at the same time. The compounds of formula (I) are produced by the reaction of the corresponding benzenesulfonamide derivatives with the corresponding benzyl or benzoyl halides; the reaction of the corresponding benzenesulfonyl halides with the corresponding benzylamines or benzoyl amides; or by the alkylation, alkenylation or alkynylation of the corresponding compounds of formula (I) in which R.sub.0 is hydrogen. The compounds of formula (I) have superior selective herbicidal effects, and are useful as active ingredients of herbicides, especially those for application to aquatic rice paddies.
