摘要： A fluid-tight slide fastener comprises a pair of stringer tapes each having an inner edge region, an outer edge region and a stretchable region intermediate between the two edge regions which are non-stretchable. The intermediate stretchable region yieldingly takes up any transverse stresses which would otherwise act upon the inner edge region to split apart the fastener halves and produce leakage therethrough.

Each engaging element is composed of a stem portion standing from a surface of the flat substrate and an engaging head portion protruded from a tip of the stem portion at least in a side direction perpendicular to a molding direction. A thickness of each engaging element in a direction perpendicular to the protruding direction of the engaging head portion increases gradually from a top portion of the engaging head portion to a base end of the stem portion. Maximum lateral widths of front and rear end faces of the engaging head portion of each engaging element a viewed in the molding direction are different from each other.

摘要： Disclosed are a biodegradable separable fastener which can be appropriately used as a fastening means for disposable products and a method for the production thereof. In a separable fastener composed of a base part and a multiplicity of engaging elements raised from the obverse side of the base part, the base part and the engaging elements are formed of a biodegradable resin. In a favorable mode, at least the base part of the separable fastener has such a sectional shape as to increase the specific surface area. For example, grooves and/or holes are formed in the base part or holes are extended from the reverse side of the base part to the interiors of the engaging elements. The biodegradable separable fastener having such grooves and/or the holes may be manufactured by forming at least part of the base part with a water-soluble resin and the other part of the fastener with a biodegradable resin and, after the manufacture of the separable fastener, causing the water-soluble resin to dissolve out into a solvent.

摘要： A fastening device molded of a synthetic resin material and adapted to be engaged with a large number of loops on one surface of a fastener part of a mating member includes a base member having on its one surface a large number of hooks integrally molded with the base member and arranged in a plurality of rows. The hooks in each hook row generally have the same hook direction aligned with an axis of the hook row, and the hooks in one hook row and the hooks in an adjacent hook row do not always have the same hook direction. At least one hook in each hook row which is adjacent to a peripheral edge of the base member have a hook direction facing outwardly away from the peripheral edge. With this arrangement, the hooks located adjacent to the peripheral edge are capable of withstand undue force tending to fatigue and eventually break the hooks.

The second weft in-laid yarns consist of a plurality of at least non-stretchable yarns, and said second weft in-laid yarns run sequentially and separately in the course direction on different wale regions of the same course with having an arbitrary length respectively, while crossing the first weft in-laid yarns between courses. Consequently, even when pulled in a longitudinal direction, because the separate second weft in-laid yarns influence each other independently, the fabric does not have a great amount of ruffling in a width direction thereof and thus the a flat surface is maintained wherein there is no narrowing in the middle of the longitudinal direction.
