摘要： An image-forming device which is equipped with an image-holding member, an exposure section provided with plural light-emitting portions arranged in a first direction, a movement section that relatively moves the exposure section and the image-holding member in a second direction that intersects with the first direction, and a light-emission control section. The light-emission control section causes the plural light-emitting portions to periodically emit light in accordance with image data representing an image that is to be formed on the image-holding member, to form the image on the image-holding member. The light-emission control section varies a light-emission period during formation of the image, so as to correct for periodic fluctuations within the image of at least one of density and magnification ratio in the second direction.

The idler roller that the continuous paper sheet is in contact with at the largest wrap angle has a circumference that is equal to the whole or a fractional length of the interval between the axes of two adjacent photoreceptors.

摘要： An image forming device includes a rotating polygon mirror and a correcting component that corrects misregistration of an image region in a predetermined direction. The correcting component carries out the correction by correcting image data used in modulating light beams reflected and deflected by any one reflecting surface among plural reflecting surfaces provided at the rotating polygon mirror, where the light beams scann a body-to-be-illuminated in the predetermined direction, correcting image data by each data unit used in modulating light beams which are reflected and deflected at the same reflecting surface, and correcting image data in accordance with a misregistration amount in the predetermined direction of the image region formed on the body-to-be-illuminated by the light beams which are reflected and deflected, where the misregistration amount is measured in advance for each reflecting surface of the rotating polygon mirror.

摘要： An imperfect register correcting method is applied to correcting the incorrect disposition and functions of the components of a multicolor image forming apparatus which forms a multicolor image by sequentially superposing color images formed by a plurality of image forming units thereof, causing imperfect register of the color images formed by the plurality of image forming units. The imperfect register correcting method comprises a first imperfect register correcting cycle in which skews of the image forming units are corrected, and a second imperfect register correcting cycle in which factors of imperfect register other than the skews are corrected. The second imperfect correcting cycle is carried out subsequent to the first imperfect register correcting cycle to obviate the introduction of errors into data for correcting the factors of imperfect register by the correction of the skew of the image forming units.
